The patent index is an indispensable consideration basis for comprehensive scientific research capability in universities,and its related activities have always been the focus of social concern.The attention from the country and society has brought opportunities and challenges to the development of patents in Chinese universities.Under the situation of the number of applications for blowouts,the lack of optimism in the commercialization of patents has aroused widespread concern.The process of university patent commercialization lacks the overall planning and guidance of the strategic concept.As a strategy that uses external opportunities to resolve organizational development threats,the strategy provides a solution to the current unfavorable situation of patent commercialization in universities.Therefore,it is of great significance to increase the commercialization of university patents to the strategic level.However,the fact that the strategy will not be automatically implemented in the course of practice cannot be ignored.The formation of a patented commercialization strategy in universities requires a driving force.Therefore,it is of great significance to solve the structural factors of the patent commercialization strategy in universities and to clarify the driving factors of patent commercialization strategies in universities.Focusing on the basic question of how the formation of a patent commercialization strategy in colleges and universities,this paper conducts research from the following three aspects:First,what are the structural elements for the formation of patent commercialization strategies in universities?Second,the formation of driving factors in the formation of university patent commercialization strategy?Third,how to drive the patent commercialization strategy?This paper starts with the concept of strategic management theory and market-oriented theory and defines the concept of patent commercialization and patent commercialization.It also studies the driving factors of the patent commercialization strategy from three aspects.First,it analyzes the strategy formation theory.Construct a framework and elements for the formation of a patent commercialization strategy in universities,including four dimensions:goal determination,external analysis,internal analysis,strategic selection,and 10 sub-elements.The second is based on the structural elements of university patent commercialization strategy.Combining the factors influencing the commercialization of patents in colleges and universities,it is used as the basis for the compilation of interview outlines.Based on the in-depth interviews,it uses the grounded theory to analyze the patent business of universities.The driving factors for the formation of the strategy include three main areas:strategic objectives,commercial environment,and commercialization capabilities.Thirdly,based on the driving factor model of university patent commercialization strategy,the research hypothesis of this paper is put forward.Through 262 valid questionnaire data,AMOS21.0 is used to empirically test structural equations,and the following conclusions are drawn:Strategic objectives,commercial environment,and commerce The ability to change has a significant impact on the formation of patent commercialization strategies in universities.Among them,the strategic objectives are direct drivers,and the commercial environment and commercialization capabilities are indirect drivers.In order to improve the status quo of commercialization of patents in universities,the following suggestions are made:First,the strategy for the commercialization of patents in universities should be constructed and planned with the orientation of market orientation.The second is to focus on the strategic goal as a direct driver,optimize the commercial environment,and enhance commercialization capabilities.
