Abstract:In our country, the overall level of patents in colleges is low. Investigate its reason mainly has three points:First, the cost burden of patents maintaining is too heavy, since the quantity requested of colleges patents increased sharply for the past few years; Second, the colleges in our country are short of reasonable choice evaluative criteria for the patents maintaining, because of the system problem in patents maintaining and administrate; Third, the cognition of patents value in colleges scientific research personnel and patent management personnel is plain and thin. To solve the three problem, the colleges should raise the level of patents maintaining, build a perfect patents management system and patents management operation process to reduce the patent to maintaining cost. Considering from the government level, the government should guide the staff in colleges enhance the patent maintain awareness, establish an effective patent maintaining mechanism and introduce the market effective patent transformation mode to help patents values transform faster and better, and to supply some financial aid policy for the colleges patents maintaining.
