Mind map is an efficient information processing system which focuses on visual expressions on knowledge and thinking,it is an effective tool for innovative thinking.A new type of board—mind mapping book,is formed by incorporating mind map into book design.In the background of the new curriculum reform and the comprehensive development of students,the traditional board design lacks the lead of thinking.While,mind map board can make geographical thinking visible,as novel board structure is rich in inspiring students’ thinking and attracting students’ attention,and more adapt to the development of the times.Based on the modern teaching theory and related theoretical results,the literature analysis and triangulation are used in this paper as the main research methods.Literature analysis is used to comb related concepts of high school geography mind map book,and the use of triangulation is to comprehensively analyze the geographical thinking of high school.Based on the status quo and existing problems in the design of map book design,four strategies for designing high school geography mind map blackboard-writing are proposed,and the design thinking of high school geography mind map book design is elaborated in the form of case design.The research results enriched the theory of book design knowledge and provided a new design method for front-line geography teachers.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)The connotation of geography mind map is determined,the classification of the mind map book is carried out,which enriches the type of the geographical board book.(2)By using the methods of questionnaire surveys,observation of classroom etc.we find that the geography mind map book can not only optimize the teaching of teachers,but also contribute to the construction of students’ knowledge organization and meaning,enhance students’ flexibility of thinking,and inspire students’ innovative thinking.(3)It is well-defined that the design plan for high school geography mind map books,including mind mapping design principles,design strategies,and design ideas.The innovation of the paper: it proposes the type of geography blackboard-writing of mind map,takes the triangulation method to investigate the status quo of high school geography mind map book design,and designs a series of electronic mind map books and blackboard mind map books.The strategy of mind mapping design provides new ideas and new methods for the teaching of board design.
