In recent years, the number and scale of agricultural transfer population has been expanding.Eastern region and big cities have become main gathering place of them due to high level of regional development. The excessive concentration of population not only challenges bearing capacity of eastern developed regions, but also brings uncoordinated factors to the process of urbanization.Guiding nearby migration of Midwest agricultural transfer population is becoming an important way to optimize spatial distribution of population, promote regional coordinated development and promote the process of new urbanization. Therefore, this paper studies influence factors of nearby migration of Midwest agricultural transfer population. It can provide reference for government departments to make relevant policies.Based on push and pull theory,Kuznets' s population redistribution theory and Tiebout model, according to changes of household registration system and policies about promoting citizenization orderly of agricultural transfer population, combined with research results at home and abroad, the study selected regional characteristics from three aspects of economic development level, public service level and population saturation, introduced individual characteristics, and put forward research hypotheses.Nearby migration of agricultural transfer population was divided into two levels: nearby flow and settlement intention.Using statistical yearbook and dynamic monitoring data of floating population, multilevel logistic regression was applied to analyze influencing factors. The results showed that education level, marriage, average income level, industrial structure, health care and public culture have a positive impact on nearby flow.Employment status and monthly income have a negative impact on nearby flow.Education level, marriage, employment status and medical insurance, health care, public culture and urbanization rate have a positive impact on settlement intention. Finally, put forward policy recommendations to guide nearby migration of Midwest agricultural transfer population from the aspects of speeding up economic development, promoting public service level and enhancing ability of agricultural transfer population's nearby urbanization.
