Since the reform and opening up,Regional economic disparities increase the scale of population migration under the common effect of institutional change and economic transformation, population migration gradually developed into a social norm.A series of national policy supporting to promote the number of population migration is also increasing year by year, such as implementation of the strategy of west development, vigorously carrying out counterpart aid Xinjiang work and the implementation of the “One Belt And One Road” strategy.Differences in regional economic development in all parts of Xinjiang,The impact of population migration on regional economic development has important research value. This article introduces the migration status of Xinjiang since the founding of new China, and expounds the characteristics of population migration, including the migration of population, the source of migrating population and the motivation of migration. The regional economic situation of Xinjiang is introduced. It includes three aspects: the history, the present situation of the regional economy. The factor analysis method was used to analyze the regional economic factors in Xinjiang, and the comprehensive factor scores of 2015 and 2010 were compared. The comprehensive economic level of each state was not changed much;Judging from the ranking of comprehensive factors in 14 prefectures in Xinjiang in 2015,the regional level of economic integration in Xinjiang is significantly different.Analyze the grey correlation degree of the economic synthesis factor and Xinjiang’s migration population data.It is concluded that the contribution of the migrating population to economic development is greater than the contribution of the permanent population to economic development, and that migration has a greater impact on economic development. The positive contribution of population migration to Xinjiang’s regional economic development includes: promoting the development of the regional economy;it has provided a large amount of labor resources for regional economic development;it has eased the trend of population aging;promoted the improvement of urbanization in Xinjiang;and stimulated consumption. The negative consequences include: aggravated the burden on the construction of urban public service facilities;the employment structure affects the upgrading of the industrial structure.By constructing an improved Cobb-Douglas function model, using regression analysis,it was found that the contribution rates of the migrant population and the resident population in Xinjiang in 2015 were higher than those in 2010.This shows that as the total population of Xinjiang increases, the contribution rate of population to economic development also increases, but the contribution rate of the migrant population is greater than the resident population. The contribution rate.Judging from the contribution rates of various states in 2015,Urumqi’s migration population has the highest contribution to economic development, and Kezhou is the lowest. There are regional differences in different regions.Due to the different numbers of migrating population and education, the impact on regional economic development is also not the same. The higher the number and quality of migrating population, the greater the contribution to economic development. At the end of the article,we raised the quality of the migration population to drive the development of regional economy in Xinjiang. It puts forward policy recommendations such as paying attention to population migration groups, improving the employability of displaced populations, optimizing the employment structure of migrating populations, deepening the household registration system and land system reforms, improving infrastructure construction, and establishing a public service system for families, thereby promoting regional economic development in Xinjiang.
