Although our country's education career realize the great development of the overall,but the students' psychological health problems have not reduced correspondingly.In this special group especially outskirts of the primary school senior grades students,even for related research also are rare.The harsh reality has put forward the objective and urgent request to us,and it is urgent for the academic community to come up with more practical professional theories and practice templates.With action research as the overall train of thought of this research,after understanding the primary school senior grades students mental health status of the outskirts of the town through a pilot study,we determine the main content of the research to improve the students' learning psychology and interpersonal skills with the use of group psychological counseling as the main way,divided into three rounds,a total of 12 times.The following conclusions are drawn after researching:1.The overall mental health of senior students in the suburban primary school is good,but it is prominent in the three aspects: learning anxiety,self-accusation and interaction anxiety.There were significant differences between the different gender and grades,and also different source of students showed different psychological characteristics.2.There were no significant differences in the results of pretest and posttest about the comparative class,and the students' mental health status was similar.3.After the group psychological counseling,there is significantly different in the results of pretest and posttest about the experimental class and the mental health was significantly improved.4.There was no significant difference between the experimental class and the comparative class in the pretest result,but significant difference in the posttest results.The mental health level of the experimental class students in the post-test group was significantly higher than that of the comparative class after group psychological counseling.5.The result of the psychological diagnosis test and the responses of students and teachers showed the group psychological counseling was effective,and that it was feasible and relatively easy to promote.It can be used as an effective mental health education method in suburban primary schools.
