As a well-regarded teaching method of education of all-around development,inquiry teaching overcomes the shortage of traditional education,has the remarkable advantage of cultivating talents,and meets the needs of national development.The course of morality and rule of law is a dominant moral education course,which undertakes the important mission of "cultivating people".It is of great significance and value to apply inquiry teaching to the teaching practice of morality and rule of law.However,due to the constraints of various factors,there are still problems in the application of inquiry teaching,and the expected goal has not yet been achieved.Therefore,how to use inquiry teaching flexibly and effectively in the course of morality and rule of law has become a major problem in the field of education.In this paper,the methods of literature combing,investigation and research are used for elaboration mainly around the following four aspects.Chapter 1 gave a brief explanation of the research background,significance,ideas,methods and research situation,and determined the significant and difficult points of this study through the analysis of domestic books,literature,insight into the academic research situation.Chapter 2 mainly defined the inquiry teaching from the concept,characteristics,types,and other aspects.At the same time,it expounded the fact that the application of inquiry teaching conforms to the trend of textbook reform,and plays an important role in the improvement of teachers' ability and the cultivation of students' core accomplishments.Chapter 3 combined field investigation results and focused on analyzing the problems of inquiry teaching in moral and rule of law teaching in junior middle school,such as lack of good inquiry environment,improper operation mode,narrow participation of students,etc.It also analyzed the root causes of the above-mentioned problems from the restriction of traditional educational concepts,schools,teachers,students and other angles.Chapter 4,according to the existing problems and causes,this chapter puts forward the application strategies of inquiry teaching in moral and rule of law course in junior middle schools from three aspects: creating a good inquiry environment,optimizing teaching design and self-remolding of students.
