With the vigorous development of China's national economy and public sports, the large-scale sports competitions in our country are increasing, and each of the host cities has built a large number of high quality,multi-functional sports venues. As the most of the sports venue are funded and built by governments. Those venues are seen as public facilities with obvious public service attributes. The reasonable re-use of sports venues after the tournaments to provide better services to the public and avoiding waste of public resources has became a social matters as well as a important subject in public management study. After Jiaozuo city has obtained the right to host “the 12 th Henan Provincial Games” in 2014.Jiaozuo city has invested about 1.7 billion RMB to build indoor and outdoor sports venues and stadiums including Taiji Sports Center,Qinyang City Sports Center and national fitness center in Xiuwu County since July 2010.After the success of “the 12 th Henan Provincial Games”,how to put those sports venues and stadiums, which were heavily funded by governments, into public sports services system has became a public concern. This paper uses the methods of literature data, expert interview, questionnaire survey and field investigation to carry out investigation and study on the supply of public sports services of the new venues and stadiums after the 12 th Henan provincial Games to analyze their supply mode, supply content and the status and needs of participated residents. Therefore,we could identify the existed problems and propose a scientific based, reasonable and targeted strategy combined with new public service theory. The main conclusions are as follows:1.The post-game research of public sports service supply for new-built venues of “the 12 th Henan Provincial Games” shows that after the Games, there is a lack of diversified sports services in the public sports service supply for the three new-built venues.Provision of fitness items is relatively simple and venue's utilization is relatively low.2.Although new-built venues could provide necessary sports and fitness venue services for the publics after the Games,in the aspects of fitness guidance services, organization services, sports information services and physique monitoring services, there are issues such as lack of personnel, imperfect organization, lagging information and inadequate scientific monitoring.Due to the imperfection of the service content, the new-built venues could not meet the needs of the social groups.3.After the tournaments, there is one main body which uses the new-built venues to provide public sports services. The government still occupies an absolute dominant position in providing public sports services. There are a few of for-profit organizations, enterprise and individuals involved in the supply of the public sports services. The government is relatively weak in the use of purchasing services, and rarely used it.This is not only in the constraints of administrative resources, and is not conducive to the improvement of the quality of public sports service supply, which cannot meet the diversified needs of the social public for the sports supply services.4.By strengthening the responsibility of government in the supply of public sports services,we could achieve a multi-party cooperation in the supply of public sports services.By enriching the content of sports public services, strengthening the construction of supporting service facilities, carrying out sports training, fitness activities and rehabilitation to the public, setting up an internet platform, increasing the support of government policies and other initiatives,we could enhance the role of the new-built sports venues and stadiums in the supply of the public sports services after the tournaments.
