As one of the cities where China's higher education resources are gathered,Wuhan has trained a considerable number of talents in related fields for the postgraduates of higher education in China.This part of the talent is a microcosm of postgraduate education graduates or entire postgraduate students in Wuhan.With the adjustment of China's economic structure,the rise of the central region,and the social development of the rejuvenated Greater Wuhan,postgraduates of higher education majors in Wuhan face new challenges and opportunities.In order to establish a good view of career choice,promote the rational flow of human resources,optimize the employment structure,and maintain the sound development of the discipline of higher education,this article focuses on Wuhan's postgraduate students majoring in higher education and focuses on questionnaires and interviews.The method,based on the theory of social capital and human capital theory,puts forward the relevant intervention and improvement strategies by studying the employment intention and its influencing factors of postgraduates majoring in higher education in Wuhan.Through the analysis of questionnaire data of 102 postgraduates of higher education majors in 8 universities in Wuhan and interviews with 4 postgraduates of higher education majors in 4 universities in Wuhan,the results show that: Expectations of expected monthly salary,employment location,criteria for measuring jobs,psychological expectations for employment difficulty,etc.,show a strong desire for social mobility at the upper level,and pay more attention to the pursuit of personalization and job satisfaction in career selection and planning.More diversified measurement standards,of course,there are also many problems such as difficulties in professional counterparts,low employability,and low satisfaction with employment guidance.Based on the survey results,the factors affecting the employment intention of postgraduates majoring in higher education in Wuhan were divided into two parts: the factors that influence the overall characteristics of employment intention and the factors that influence the difference characteristics of employment intention,and combined the relevant theories for attribution analysis.Finally,on this basis,we draw conclusions and propose targeted improvements from multiple aspects such as school enrollment,subject development,individual ability,and employment guidance.
