Today,in the world where innovation is the international competitiveness,all countries are seeking effective ways to cultivate innovative talents.The United States and other developed countries have made a lot of research and practice for this purpose,among which STEM education has achieved remarkable results in cultivating innovative talents,and has gradually been concerned by various countries.As a form of education integrating Science,Technology,Engineering and Mathematics,it strives to break the boundaries between disciplines and enable students to solve practical problems with comprehensive application of knowledge in various aspects,so as to cultivate creative talents who can use their brains and hands.Strictly speaking,in our country,STEM education is not easy to achieve in senior high school.The best way is that integrating the idea of STEM education into subject teaching and fully exploring STEM education materials contained in various disciplines.As far as physics is concerned,it is closely related to engineering,technology and mathematics.However,in traditional teaching,teachers paid too much attention to teaching knowledge,and as a result,the connection between physics and other subjects is neglected.Therefore,this paper proposes that in high school physics teaching,taking the idea of STEM education as the guidance,taking engineering problems as a driving force,and then achieving the goal of training innovative talents by solving that engineering problems.Firstly,this paper discusses the background of research,general situation at home and abroad,the purpose and significance of the research,and introduces the related concepts of STEM education.Based on the analysis the policy of education in our country,the problems existing in physics teaching in senior high schools and the ability level of senior high school students,this paper expounds the necessity of integrating STEM education concept into physics teaching.According to the characteristics of high school physics teaching in our country,several strategies to infiltrate STEM education concept into high school physics teaching are put forward.,including problem-oriented physics classroom teaching,innovative experiment-based physics second classroom teaching,competition-based community activities and the development of STEM school-based classes with physics as the core.In addition corresponding teaching cases are designed.Through the research of this topic,we hope to provide more referable ideas for the current STEM education localization,so that people can realize the value of STEM education,and cause people to think and explore STEM education more deeply.It provides a new strategy for deepening the reform of physics teaching in senior high school,improving the core quality of physics and enhancing the comprehensive quality of students.
