With the development of the society, the requirements for primary and secondary school teachers are increased.Facing problems such as heavy teaching pressures, work tasks, and family burdens, teachers are inevitably time-consuming and unable to arrange time properly.Teachers' professional identity will also gradually disappear due to cumbersome work and time constraints, and it is difficult to maintain a full working enthusiasm. Also it is easy to have a sense of exhaustion. The focus of this paper is to discuss how to improve teachers' professional identity, time management ability, and alleviate teachers' job burnout.Based on this research topic, the study started with the perspective of teachers' professional identity and time management, using the Burnout Scale compiled by Maslach and Jackson, the Teacher Professional Identity Scale compiled by Wei Shuhua, and the Time Management Disposition Scale compiled by Huang Xiting et al..This study selected teachers from 11 primary and secondary school in Taiyuan City,Shanxi Province as the subjects.A total of 657 valid questionnaires were obtained by cluster random sampling. The data of this study was performed by using statistical software SPSS22.0 through descriptive analysis, variance analysis, difference analysis, correlation analysis,T-test,regression analysis and mediation effect analysis to explore the relationship among professional identity, job burnout and time management of primary and secondary school teachers. The results of this study are as follows:(1)The overall level of professional identity of primary and secondary school teachers is relatively high;the situation of job burnout is at a medium level;the overall level of time management is at a medium-to-high level and it is expected to be further improved.(2)Primary and secondary school teachers' professional identity, burnout, time management and some dimensions of the three variables are sharing significantly difference in variables such as gender, age, working experience, marital status, and whether they are formal or informal teachers.(3)The professional identity and its dimensions in primary and secondary school teachers share significantly positive correlation with time management, and the tendency of professional behavior is the most relevant to time management;professional identity and its dimensions share significantly negative correlation with burnout and its dimension of personal low achievement as well as non-humanized;professional identity and its role value dimension are significantly negative correlated with emotional exhaustion. The occupational belonging dimension is positively correlated with the emotional exhaustion dimension;time management is significantly negatively correlated with job burnout and its various dimensions, and time management is related to the emotional exhaustion dimension most.(4)Professional identity and time management can directly predict the level of burnout.Regression analysis shows that the role value dimension has a negative predictive effect on job burnout and emotional exhaustion, while the career belonging dimension has positive prediction effects on burnout and emotional exhaustion. The time monitoring dimension, the time efficacy dimension and the professional behavior tendency dimension exert negative predictive effects on the individual low achievement dimension, and the role value dimension and the professional behavior tendency dimension have negative predictive effects on the non-humanized dimension.(5)Professional identity plays a partial role in job burnout through time management.Based on analysis of the results, the following suggestions are proposed:1)Professional identity:Enhancing the social attention and social recognition of primary and secondary school teachers.Improving the working environment of primary and secondary school teachers, meanwhile continuously improving the professional identity of primary and secondary school teachers.Strengthening the quality of primary and secondary school teachers and continuously enhancing the role identification of primary and secondary school teachers.Improving the salary system of primary and secondary school teachers as well as their professional satisfaction.2)Time managementFrom internal side, teachers' sense of time value, time monitoring ability and time utilization should be improved. From external side,“burden reduction” for teachers should be implemented through the national and school levels.Schools should lead the main direction of work to improve work quality and time management skills. Both aspects aim to reduce burnout in order to improve work efficiency.
