Scientific quality is closely related to the overall scientific literacy of citizens.To improve the scientific literacy level of citizens should be built up from children.Therefore,the improvement of the quality of elementary school science education is very important.Xixian County is located in the northwest of LinFen and is a national poverty county.As a poverty-stricken mountainous region,what is the status of science teaching in primary schools?What are the problems? How to solve? This article has conducted empirical research on the above content in order to promote the improvement of the quality of primary school science education in the county.This article focuses on the science education of the six primary schools in Xixian County(Xixian First Primary School,Longquan Primary School,Xixian Fourth Primary School,Loess Center School,Xiali Center School,and Steephill Center School).Questionnaire survey method and interview method are the methods.The present situation and existing problems of primary school science class education in Xixian County are analyzed in depth.Based on this,the corresponding countermeasures are proposed in order to provide some reference for related research.The problems exposed in the primary school science class teaching in Xi County mainly include the following five aspects: 1.The teacher team has great mobility.All along,there have been very few full-time science teachers,basically all part-time science teachers,and the replacement cycle is about one year.The teaching process lacks necessary training.2,poor professional skills of teachers.The professional level of elementary school science teachers is often not high,and due to the limited time,it is obviously very difficult to study the subjects in depth,and a large part of science teachers are older.3.The development of experimental teaching is very unsatisfactory,and the composition and professional level of teachers are the biggest problems.In addition to the evaluation of teaching,there is almost no assessment of the experimental content.Such evaluation has not played a role in the teaching of teachers.Due to the good guidance,experimental teaching did not cause teachers enough attention.And the experimental methods,steps,experimental results,and test report sheets are not precise.4.Schools and parents do not pay enough attention to science disciplines.Most school leaders do not pay enough attention to this subject and are used to subconsciously thinking of it as a "sub-section." In addition,parents generally ignore the importance of this subject,and often only pay attention to these three basic courses outside of linguistics,ignoring the existence of science.However,science needs to take time to conduct extracurricular inquiry activities.This process requires parental support.This obviously forms a certain contradiction.5.The preparation of lessons is not sufficient.Both full-time teachers and part-time teachers do not thoroughly study the curriculum standards,outlines and teaching materials.This article gives some suggestions from several aspects such as teaching,teaching evaluation,textbook compilation,and scientific teacher deployment.
