Sports level of professional athletes has significantly improved and the competition has become increasingly fierce with the worldwide rapid development of Weightlifting.After-training recovery,as an important part of the professional sports training,has draw great attentions from sports training experts and coaches.This study has been aimed at investigating the adjustment of fatigue recovery by alternative application of outdoor walking and specialized weightlifting training.In addition to the enrichment of cross-training theory,the results provide guidance to the development and improvement of recovery methods.A comprehensive study was carried out using the methods of literature,questionnaire,interview,experiment and mathematical statistics.A total of 10 female weightlifting athletes from Jilin Province were involved in the investigation.Effects of outdoor walking on the fatigue recovery after medium to high intensity training were investigated and evaluated.According to the measured data,intervention training of outdoor waking does not introduce significant difference in creatine kinase,p>0.05;intervention training of outdoor waking does not introduce significant difference in haemoglobin,p>0.05.Outdoor walking does not have measurable effects on the physical fatigue recovery but significantly improves the psychological recovery.The intervention introduce significant difference in reduced sense of accomplishment,emotional/physical exhaustion and negative sports evaluation,with all p values less than0.05.In conclusion,outdoor walking is more effective for medium and lower intensities.The duration of outdoor walking,aimed at relaxing and relieving fatigue should be limited to an hour.Low-medium intensity cross training for 1 hr does not introduce significant difference in physical fatigue indices for weightlifters preparing for the competition.However,the cross training does help to adjust psychological emotions,improve the mental fatigue,and the training effects are enhanced accordingly.Due to the short period of experiments,effects of intervention training by outdoor walking on sports achievements cannot be justified.
