In order to achieve a reasonable and effective history teaching,we should build a complete history knowledge system,so that high school students feel the charm of history learning.As an important supplement to history textbooks,the chronology of major events should make full use of this teaching resource in high school history teaching.Through the use of historical chronology,students can not only sort out the general history system scientifically and systematically,but also cultivate their historical literacy.In recent years,all the college entrance examination questions have been reflected in the history chronology,which reflects the importance attached to the history chronology in the reform of history teaching in middle schools.Therefore,in daily history teaching,we should excavate into the teaching significance of history chronology,build a complete knowledge system for students,and let students understand the importance of history chronology in high school history teaching.There are four main types of chronologies: major events chronologies,thematic chronologies,comprehensive chronologies and proportional chronologies.These chronologies can help students sort out the main context of historical development and establish a sense of historical integrity;cultivate students' concept of time and space,stimulate students' subjective consciousness;improve classroom efficiency,and accurately grasp the key and difficult points of knowledge.In the process of investigating the application of history chronology in history teaching in senior high school,it is found that history chronology is not valued and its form is relatively single in history class of senior high school.In view of these problems,according to the different types of new lessons and review lessons,this paper puts forward the application strategy of chronology.In the introduction of new lessons,teaching,summary,review of textbook content and explanation of exercises,chronology should be used appropriately to assist teaching.In addition,the three compulsory textbooks of senior high school history in PEP edition can be compiled according to differentchronological types,providing teaching reference for senior high school history teachers.High school history teachers should first change their attitudes and attach importance to the historical chronology so that it can play a certain role in teaching.Moreover,teachers should also work out some chronology by themselves to improve the classroom teaching effect.In addition,history teachers should be good at using the historical chronology to reflect on and further improve their teaching ability.The application of historical chronology can not only make up for the lack of students' overall concept of history,but also meet the requirements of the reform of college entrance examination,which attaches great importance to examining students' overall concept.Therefore,we should attach importance to the application of historical chronology in high school history teaching.
