The Rural Teacher Support Program(2015-2020)clearly states that teachers are key to the development of rural education.Faculty building in rural areas must be placed in a strategic position of and be given priority to development.It is imperative to take practical measures to strengthen the deployment and requirements of faculty building in poor rural and remote areas where the majority of population are the young and the old.An investigation of the occupation satisfaction of rural teachers can help to diagnose the degree of satisfaction of rural teachers,so as to propose countermeasures to strengthen faculty building in rural areas.However,domestic research on teachers' occupation satisfaction is relatively less in the survey scope,especially such research in rural areas.In terms of respondents,all types are covered,but primary schools are often included into the scope of the primary and secondary schools.Research on occupation satisfaction of the primary school teachers is still scarce.This thesis studies the occupation satisfaction of rural primary school teachers through literature research,questionnaire survey and interviews.First,the literature is summarized and discussed,and the connotation and components of occupation satisfaction are discussed,so as to provide a theoretical basis for the preparation of the questionnaire.Second,based on self-made questionnaires,stratified sampling method was adopted to conduct occupation satisfaction surveys on 244 rural primary school teachers,town primary school teachers,township central primary school teachers,village primary or teaching point teachers in county C of Chongqing.The data were statistically analyzed by means of spss25.0 pairs,and the current situation and problems of the occupation satisfaction of the rural primary school teachers in county C of Chongqing were summarized.The interviews of three local teachers were combined to analyze the causes for the problems.Lastly,the countermeasures to improve the occupation satisfaction of the rural primary school teachers in county C of Chongqing were proposed.The study draws the following conclusions: The overall degree of occupation satisfaction of teachers in rural primary schools in county C of Chongqing is moderately high.Among them,the satisfaction of wages and benefits and management system is relatively low.There are significant differences among teachers in terms of age,teaching age,professional title and educational degree,whether being a class teacher or not,whether being a “steel bowl”,and the type of school.Specifically,the teachers under the age of 30.And those with a teaching age of less than 5 years have a relatively lower degree of occupation satisfaction.The occupation satisfaction of teachers in primary schools or teaching points is relatively low as well.Regarding the problems of occupation satisfaction of rural primary school teachers in county C of Chongqing,which combing the interviews and theoretical research,this thesis puts forward the countermeasures to improve the current situation.It is necessary to improve wages and benefits to form a sound management system.More importance must be attached to the cultivation of young teachers' work ability,And more attention should be paid to the school-based curriculum development.The village Teachers' teaching and research activities should also be strengthened.All these will be conducive to improving the occupation satisfaction of rural primary school teachers in county C of Chongqing.
