With the further development of China’s economy,technology plays a more and more important role,and the demand for skilled talents is increasing.As the education type most closely related to the development of national economy,vocational and technical education is endowed with new significance by the era.In recent years,the state has continuously issued various policies to promote the development of vocational and technical education.However,some practical situations are that in vocational colleges that cultivate high-level applied technical talents,there is a situation that students recessive skip classes,that is,students come to the classroom for class,but they just sit in the classroom physically,but their thinking is not in the classroom,doing things that have nothing to do with classroom teaching.The recessive truancy of students in vocational colleges is of great harm,students’ mastery of knowledge and skills will be greatly reduced,teachers’ enthusiasm for classroom teaching will be hit,resulting in a decline in their enthusiasm,which will affect the teaching quality of vocational colleges.However,the phenomenon of hidden truancy has not caused widespread concern.Some researches have made a detailed analysis of hidden truancy from many sides,but there are still some problems to be improved.For example,in terms of the number of studies,there is little research,not only on recessive truancy,but also on recessive truancy of students in vocational colleges.In terms of research contents,the research of higher vocational college students recessive classes does not revolve around the particularity of higher vocational education different from general higher education,neglect the particularity of higher vocational teachers,students,neglect the particularity of higher vocational course,teaching,causes a deficiency of the research results in higher vocational colleges of tacit truancy.Therefore,there are still unresolved problems that need further analysis.Based on the analysis of existing relevant literature,this study selects two vocational colleges in Sichuan province for investigation,and conducts an in-depth understanding of the recessive truancy of students in vocational colleges through classroom observation,questionnaire survey and interview.In this study,the “observation and record form of theoretical class” and the “observation and record form of experimental and practical class” were developed to observe and record the classroom performance of students and teachers in six classes.The research developed the “hidden truancy questionnaire” for students,which was distributed to students of all majors and grades in two vocational colleges,and analyzed 370 questionnaires effectively recovered.At the same time,the research also developed an interview outline for students,course teachers and teaching administrators,and conducted interviews with 10 students,5 course teachers and 3 teaching administrators.According to the survey,when students do not want to listen to lectures,more than 60% of students will secretly skip classes.The proportion of students who skip more than half of the theoretical class and practice class is about one third.The most serious type of recessive truancy in vocational colleges is public elective course.More than 60% of higher vocational college students think that recessive truancy is wrong in principle,but it is understandable.Most teachers do not take strict management measures for students’ recessive truancy in vocational colleges and some teachers ignore this phenomenon.There are many ways of recessive truancy,but most of them are recreational.In attribution,most students believe that the reasons for hidden truancy lie in the students themselves,and there are also reasons for unreasonable curriculum setting,while teachers believe that there are reasons from all sides.This paper analyzes the reasons for students’ recessive truancy in vocational colleges,mainly from four aspects of students,teachers,vocational colleges and society.Based on the analysis of reasons for students’ recessive truancy in vocational colleges,this paper puts forward some suggestions to improve students’ recessive truancy in colleges from four aspects: students,teachers,colleges and society.
