International and domestic research have showed that student engagement has extensive and important influence of students' cognition,personal and social development.The new curriculum reform of our country also has emphasized the important of student engagement.The reform requires change the inclination of paying too much attention to the imparting of knowledge in class,advocate the active participation of students.At the same time,information technology as a course which combinate theory and operation,it is also particular important if students really engage in class.This paper through teacher interviews and the questionnaire of students basically know about the present situation of student engagement of information technology class of junior middle school.And make conclusions of student engagement situation,analyze the factors affecting student engagement in class and according to the results summarize strategies to improve student engagement in class.This research discovered after the implementation of the curriculum reform there are still some problems: students' enthusiasm for participating in class is not high;the phenomenon of students' surface participation is common,but the depth of participation is less;the discipline of class isn't very good.According to influence factors for student engagement this paper gives some strategies to improve student engagement: motivate students' interest;elaborately organize the teaching resources;design vivid class activities to give full play to the subjectivity of students;choose appropriate teaching methods;pay attention to students' difference and advocate stratified teaching;create an active and relaxed class atmosphere and maintain good class discipline.
