Social Work Intervention In The Preferential Care Of Veterans

Preferential care is a traditional and political work.It is gradually formed and developed in the long-term practice of revolution and construction.It is an important part of civil affairs.It has been attached great importance by the Party and the state from the beginning.With the continuous development of society,the demand of the preferential care work object is increasingly rich.The traditional preferential care work mode,rigid single work mode and non-professional service concept can not meet the current diversified needs of the preferential care object.As an important part of our country's preferential care object,veterans have bled for the security of the country,and deserve the party and government's keen attention after their retirement.However,due to various reasons,the current preferential care work does not meet the needs of veterans.As a profession that pays attention to human nature,meets people's needs and helps people solve and prevent problems,social work has great possibilities to intervene in the preferential care work for veterans.The main content of this paper is to explore the process of professional social work intervention in veterans'preferential care work by presenting the double support project in S town of T city.First of all,under the guidance of the professional theory of social work,the veterans were interviewed and questionnaires were conducted to understand the basic information and conduct needs analysis.Then,set goals according to their needs,plan group activities,carry out needs-oriented professional social work group activities,and analyze the effectiveness of group activities.Through the implementation and operation of the project,our social workers have basically achieved the goal of group activities,and their bodies have been effectively improved;social participation has been improved,interpersonal communication has been expanding,and life attitude has been more active;psychological support groups have been formed to form a strong spiritual shield;and the self-worth and sense of belonging of Veterans have been enhanced.Finally,it summarizes the advantages of professional social workers in participating in the work of preferential care for veterans,and puts forward improvement measures for professional social workers to intervene in the work of preferential care for veterans.Firstly,we should strengthen public opinion propaganda to improve social awareness;secondly,we should build a special work model of giving preferential treatment;thirdly,we should improve the comprehensive ability of social workers;fourthly,we should use multiple social work methods;fifthly,we should discover and cultivate group leaders of service objects.The purpose of this study is to try to summarize a set of professional social workers involved in the work of veterans'preferential care mode,to provide specific ideas and professional skills for professional social work involved in the work of veterans'preferential care,and to enrich the practical research of preferential care and placement.
