At present, our country has provided preferential treatment for veterans over the age of60 according to the regulation, however, the efforts to care about the veterans are still insufficient.Due to the reason that motional affection is unfavorable for the development of special services for the veterans, lack of emotional grooming training for retired veteran service personnel, and incomplete social support network for veterans, they might have faced long-term spiritual care dilemmas, including the lack of professional counseling for mental disorders, the lack of effective emotional indifference, the lack of guidance for emotional depression, and the lack of opportunities for single interpersonal communication in life.According to the survey of veterans in S township, veterans generally need for psychological reconstruction, desire for emotional comfort, emotional counseling and interpersonal communication. In order to achieve the goal of spiritual care, social work assists veterans to regain the sense of pride of soldiers,to accept physical and current status of life,to explore their abilities,to find meaning in life,to regain confidence in life in the past and achieve self-improvement in life through case services and group services.
