Replacement Teaching Practice is an important model of teaching practice in higher Normal Colleges and Universities. Different from the traditional teaching practice, it not only plays an important role in advancing the practical ability of the students, but also shoulders the mission of improving the rural teacher structures and education quality. In the background that the traditional education practice is beset with difficulties and the rural education receives more and more attention, it is very significant to review the development process, find out the present implementation situation and survey the effects of the Replacement Teaching Practice. The intention is to perfect the pattern and promote its smooth implementation in our country .The thesis consists of three researches.The results of the thesis:(1) The implement and development of Replacement Teaching Practice in our country can be divided into three stages: Attempt exploration stage, advancement development phase and comprehensive implement stage. The local distribution of higher Normal schools that have put it in practice is imbalanced and the Implement scale disparities is quite Obvious among different schools.(2) As one kind of teaching practice pattern, the Replacement Teaching Practice is in favor of culturing normal school students. the comparison investigation on the effects of the Replacement Teaching Practice and Concentrative Practice shows that: Most of the students who take part in the two practice models think that their respective practice models play an important role in their specialized quality enhances. Compared with the latter, the former with the characteristics of long-time and in-depth practice provided more sufficiant, omni-directional exercise for the students. It has deeper degree of effects on the specialized quality enhancement of the students. The relative independent environment of the Replacement Teaching Practice makes their independent performance and reflective learning, but In addition the results, the freedom polarizes the advancement of the students.(3) As one pattern of education support, the Replacement Teaching Practice, is significant to improve the rural education quality. An investigation on it in view of its effects on the rural education support shows that: It makes beneficial additions to the teachers structure. The students who take part in it influence the rural teachers, the students and their parents.The influence on the students is greatest, followed by the influence on teachers, the influence on students' parents is the minimum.(4) A lot of success experience is obtained, but it is necessary to improve the related system. For example, the teaching plan can not be adapted well to the Replacement Teaching Practice in time, the capability of the students need to improve to serve as instructors, the assistance of the tutor are deficient and the communication between the normal school and the practice school is not effective enough and so on. All the factors above have a negative effect on the effects of the Replacement Teaching Practice and delay its popularization around the country.
