Based on the theory of curriculum development types and professional ability theory,this paper studies the influence of the types of Curriculum Development of Secondary Vocational Tourism Courses on Professional ability of students by case study method.The paper chooses Guangzhou Vocational School of Tourism & Business as the research case,and conducts on-the-spot interviews with some students who have worked in the school and some teachers who have participated in curriculum development.The paper studies the influence of types of curriculum development on professional ability of students from four majors and two teaching types.By means of theoretical research and case analysis,the conclusions of the paper are as follows: one is to discover the influence of the types of curriculum development on professional ability of students: 1.National-based curriculum development has a positive impact on abilities of observation,problem-solving,imagination,attention and judgment of students;2.Local-based Curriculum development has a positive impact on abilities of observation,memory,problem-solving,attention,judgment,analysis,and induction of students;3.School-based curriculum development has a positive impact on abilities of memory,attention and inductive of students.The second is to explain the influence of the types of curriculum development on professional ability of students in the literature: 1.National-based curriculum development has a positive impact on abilities of application and memory of students;2.Local-based curriculum development has a positive impact on abilities of application and imagination of students;3.School-based curriculum development has a positive impact on abilities of application,observation,problem-solving,imagination,judgment and analysis of students.The results of this study have reference significance for the curriculum development of tourism majors in secondary vocational schools.
