Research On Pupils' Time Management Tendency And Its Influence

With the transformation of Exam-oriented Education to Quality Education,students'extracurricular life is becoming more and more abundant.Students' ability of time management needs to be constantly improved.Active and effective time management can improve students' learning efficiency,which also enables pupils to arrange their study and life reasonably and effectively better their life and learning quality.The research on the tendency of time management is mainly focused on college students recently.However,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the time management of primary school students.In this study,literature,questionnaire and interview are used to make an empirical study on the tendency of time management of primary school students and analyze its influencing factors and provide effective strategies.By testing 600 students in Grade four,Grade five and Grade six of M primary school in Fuzhou,we tried to explore the relationship among time management tendency,their academic achievement and other factors.By using the Adolescence Time Management Disposition Scale ATMD,we get the main following findings:1.Primary school students have certain time value,but they lack time management skills and time management ability.2.Students whose father works in farm,factory or whose father is unemployed have poor time management.3.The higher the parents' educational background,the better their children's time management tendency and the time management ability.4.Students who have better performance in academic achievement,such as having good academic achievement,winning awards for many times,serving as class cadres and so on have better tendency of time management.In addition,the better the students' time management is,the better their academic achievement is.5.Based on the analysis of the influencing factors of the time management of primary school students,some suggestions are put forward to improve the time management ability of primary school students.
