The expository text describes the characteristics,essence,principle,regularity and evolution of things.It is scientific,practical,accurate and concise.The exposition is of great significance to the cultivation of students' scientific and innovative consciousness and the dissemination of scientific knowledge.This paper takes the new edition of explanatory texts compiled by the Department of Chinese Textbooks of Junior Middle School as the research object.By comparing the explanatory texts compiled by the Department of Chinese Textbooks of Junior Middle School with those compiled by its predecessors,the Soviet Educational Edition with the characteristics of the new curriculum standard,and the Hong Kong Enlightenment Edition of Hong Kong and Taiwan,it analyses the characteristics of the selection and compilation of explanatory texts compiled by the Department,draws on the Some valuable suggestions are provided in the teaching of plaintext.The first part makes a comprehensive comparative analysis of seven aspects: the number of selected texts,the country and age of the author,the type of selected texts,the distribution of selected stages,the way of arrangement,the assistant reading and the operation system of the textbooks of the Ministry and the People's Educational Press,the Soviet Educational Press and the Enlightenment Edition.According to the statistics of charts and graphs,the number of selected explanatory articles in the Ministry Edition is the smallest compared with that in the People's Education,Soviet Education and Enlightenment Edition,totaling 9 articles,accounting for 6.25% of the total textbooks,and the number of selected articles is streamlined;the author's geographical distribution is diversified,with modern and contemporary explanatory articles as the main ones;the category of "cultural custom" is increased,and the category of selected articles of "science and technology" is reduced;and the grade distribution is relatively centralized.In order to illustrate the ability of the training and arrangement unit;read-aid system is more perfect and reasonable,focusing on the cultivation of students' autonomous learning ability;homework system focuses on thetraining of students' ability to explain the basis of exercises with flexibility and hierarchy.In the second part,on the basis of comparison,the author summarizes the characteristics of the compilation of the explanatory texts and puts forward some suggestions for the compilation of the explanatory texts.(1)In view of the simplified number of selected articles in the Department edition and the relatively small number of explanatory articles in the other three editions of textbooks,it is proposed to increase the number of explanatory articles appropriately;(2)The Department edition reduces the number of explanatory articles in the category of "science and technology",which plays an important role in fostering students' scientific spirit,and proposes to enrich the types of selected articles;(3)Due to the centralized distribution of explanatory articles in the Department edition.In the eighth grade,according to the textbook compilation,we should pay attention to embodying the foundation and stage,adapting to the law of students' physical and mental development,as well as the enlightenment provided by the Hong Kong Enlightenment Edition,and put forward the idea of taking into account the distribution of text selection stages.The third part puts forward relevant teaching suggestions based on the characteristics of the selected explanatory texts of the Chinese textbooks for junior middle schools compiled by the Ministry.(1)Firstly,based on the stylistic characteristics of the explanatory texts,we should strengthen the scientific spirit of the students.Secondly,the Ministry edition attaches great importance to the promotion of traditional culture,adds the explanatory texts of "cultural customs",proposes to explore the cultural connotation of the texts and carry out humanistic education;(2)according to the supplementary reading system of the Ministry edition,we should add side comments and reading tips,and increase the number of annotations and illustrations of proper nouns,and propose flexible assistance.Reading system,with the help of charts,art teaching;(3)Because of the greatly simplified explanatory texts compiled by the Ministry,and advocate the trinity of "teaching-reading-self-reading-extracurricular reading" reading teaching system,with particular emphasis on increasing extracurricular reading,and put forward appropriate strengthening of extracurricular reading and investigation activities of explanatory texts.
