A Study On The Phenomenon Of "homeschooling" Among Primary School Students

After the popularization of basic education in China,the public began to pursue personalized learning and higher quality education services.And there were a variety of educational options other than "nearby enrollment" in the society.This learning method is still in the initial stage in China,and the public is worried about the learning status of students,and relevant researches are deficient.In this paper,six families of the middle class in China were selected for research.By understanding the reasons of "homeschooling",the learning concept followed in learning practice,the selection of learning content under the guidance of learning concept,the implementation of personalized learning method,and the standards of learning evaluation.In the end,the research will be reflected,the existing problems in the current learning situation will be explored,and relevant influencing factors will be combined to find Suggestions.This paper applies the theory of personalized learning and educational choice to understand and analyze the causes and implementation process of "homeschooling".It mainly adopts the methods of observation and semi-structured interview,among which the interviewees include the student himself,the teacher of the student(one of the parents),parents other than the teacher,neighbors and partners.To ensure the accuracy of the case and the rationality of the judgment and analysis of the whole "homeschooling" situation.After repeatedly entering the site--observing and thinking--leaving the site--sorting and analyzing,this paper,based on the understanding of "homeschooling",makes a theoretical discussion from the perspective of individualized learning and educational choice.The conclusions of this study are as follows: in the choice of homeschooling,there is a contradiction between the pursuit of personalized learning and the limitation of educational options.It is found in the implementation of homeschooling that: first,the learning concept and curriculum of homeschooling are mainly dominated by parents.Second,in terms of the content and method of learning at home,parents' guidance should be combined with children's interests,and parents should pay attention to the cultivation of children's talents and specialties.Third,the implementation of personalized home learning continues to explore,with great flexibility.On the one hand,we should pay attention to the issue of parental dominance in the implementation of personalized learning.On the other hand,we should prevent blindly cultivating advantages and ignoring the remedy for the disadvantages of children.From the perspective of the government and practitioners of home learning support measures.
