Under the trend of “Mandarin fever”,Chinese language education in Thailand shows a trend of younger age.Many private kindergartens with sufficient funds have successively offered Chinese courses.Preschool Chinese education has gradually come into the public view.As a new topic in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,Chinese teaching for overseas children is still at a relatively lagging stage in theoretical research and practical research.The special physical and mental characteristics and language learning characteristics of preschool children require that they differ from the teenagers in the teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Therefore,how to choose a Chinese teaching model suitable for preschool students,and carry out Chinese education is an urgent problem to be solved.This thesis takes the Thailand Piyawat Thanasart School Kindergarten as a case study,combined with the author’s ten-month teaching practice experience,and full draws on the relevant research results of preschool children Chinese teaching at home and abroad,and in-depth analyzes the current situation of Chinese teaching in the school kindergarten from five aspects: school background,teaching environment,teaching resources,curriculum setting and extracurricular activities;based on the characteristics of children’s physical and mental development,the theory of teaching Chinese as a foreign language and the related concepts of thematic teaching mode,it discusses the necessity of thematic teaching mode in the Thailand preschool Chinese teaching;The selection of teaching themes and subject content,the design of teaching links and theme activities as the starting points,focusing on the practical application of the thematic teaching mode in Thai preschool children’s Chinese teaching,and based on the teaching practice,the specific teaching design example of related topics is demonstrated in detail;by reflecting on teaching specific examples,summarizes the advantages of thematic Chinese teaching for preschool children with clear and orderly teaching content,flexible and diverse teaching activities,and difficult to achieve full output language,class time is difficult to control deficiencies.and propose specific improvements in teaching practice.This thesis hopes that the Chinese teaching experience summarized on the basis of practical teaching can provide certain teaching reference value for Chinese teachers and contribute to promoting the development of Chinese education for Thai preschool students.
