| The emergence of migrant workers are the result of the large-scale population flow in the urbanization process since the reform and opening up.The government and society have been working hard to solve the education problems of migrant workers’ children.This study attempts to investigate the education capability of the migrant workers’ children.Paying attention to the education capability of the migrant workers’ children is conducive to focusing the insufficient abilities of them,and it is also conducive to finding ways to improve the capability of the migrant workers’ children,thus promoting education equity.The survey data can provide a basis for government decision-making,school work and family education.Through questionnaires,interviews and other research methods,this study empirically investigated the current situation of the educational capability of the migrant workers’ children in 8 primary and middle schools in Z province.It used quantitative research to analyze the differences and influencing factors of the educational capability of the migrant workers’ children from four dimensions,namely,selection capability,participation capability,information acquisition capability and learning support capability.This research mainly includes four parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly includes research background,research questions,research significance,core concept definition,research methods and literature review.The second part is the research design,including research objects,research content,research tools and the pre-survey questionnaire analysis;the third part is the survey results and analysis,mainly including the descriptive analysis of the current status of the migrant workers’ children’s educational capability,and the difference analysis andregression analysis of them from different demographic variables.The fourth part is the discussion and conclusion.In this study,the following conclusions are drawn from the data analysis of the educational capability of the migrant workers’ children: Firstly,the average score of the educational capability of the migrant workers’ children is at the medium level,among which the scores of selection capability,information acquisition capability and learning support capability are above the medium level,but the score of the participation capability is lower and still below the medium level.Secondly,there are significantly differences in the educational capability of the migrant workers’ children in different regions,the education level of the parents,the monthly income of the parents and the school type.Thirdly,the influencing factors of the educational capability of the migrant workers’ children are the age,grade,the monthly income of the parents and the school type.Among them,the age and the school type have a significant impact on the educational capability. |
