Classical Chinese is constituent part of excellent traditional Chinese culture,which is the significant content of Chinese teaching in middle schools.Meanwhile,classical Chinese teaching has the important meaning in middle school’s Chinese teaching.It is discovered that current classical Chinese teaching has the universal situations through the interview survey: It is used to translate words mechanically,which makes the language lose its meaning and dilutes the article literature,interprets its superficial,generalizes the cultural connotation,deviates from the teaching text situation.Therefore,the classical Chinese teaching has fallen into the dilemma of randomization,simplicity and rigidity.Close reading is to solve the existing problems in classical Chinese teaching and get rid of the classical Chinese teaching to open up a new way.The close reading in the literary criticism context includes many theoretical concepts,such as the close reading in ancient China,the close reading in Anglo-American new criticism school and the close reading in modern China and so on.In the process of its development,close reading has gradually shifted from the literature field to the teaching field.The close reading in the context of course teaching is based on the microscopic close reading of the texts in Chinese textbooks,which emphasizes the close reading of words,terms and sentences,and further excavates the expressive techniques of speech organization,the logical structure and the deep connotation of texts.Close reading constructs teachers’ view of close reading,stimulates students’ reading subject consciousness and excavates the hidden core value of texts.Moreover,the close reading is consistent with the stylistic features of classical Chinese,the development of students’ thinking,and the goal of the new curriculum standard,which has its necessity and feasibility in classical Chinese teaching.In the classical Chinese teaching in middle school,it can implement the teaching strategy of close reading carefully from the aspects of language,structure and meaning,so as to taste the beauty of words,appreciate the beauty of art and comprehend the richness of connotation.At the aspect of language level,it is focus on keywords and distinguish semantics,experiences the context,feels the profound meaning,pays more attention to the gaps and explores the implications.At the aspect of the chapter level,it grasps the main line,clarifies the context,masters the structure through the style,reads the form,understands the grammar.At the aspect of implication level,it knows people and understands the world,grasps the text’s emotion,restores the prototype and explores the text connotation,compares the interpretation and deepens text thought.Meanwhile,the implementation strategies of close reading has the highly targeted,practical and effective,which is indispensable for the classical Chinese teaching in middle schools.
