One of the important features of the modern society is the expansion of information,and every one of the present people accept the "to blow up" of various kinds of information in various ways.In the general goal of the new curriculum reform of middle school,it is pointed out that the "Improve students’ ability to collect and process information"[1]is an indispensable information carrier in the daily biological teaching,because it is an important scientific information exchange carrier because of its complete information,visual and clear characteristics.Therefore,in order to adapt to the current social development and to improve the students’ biological subject quality,many educational scholars believe that the ability of the students to recognize and synthesize the chart information should be paid attention to.the research and research This paper makes a survey and analysis of the present situation of the current high school students’biological chart analysis ability,and probes into the related factors that affect the students’ analysis chart,and puts forward the targeted teaching strategy,which is aimed at providing the reference for the first-line high school biology teachers.On the basis of searching a large number of documents and materials,according to the relevant discussions on the acquisition,processing,utilization and transformation of information in the teaching and education theory,Aiming at the problem of cultivating students’ ability of chart recognition and information processing in middle school biology class,a sample survey was conducted through questionnaire and test paper.The samples were collected from three senior high school students in Wuqing District of Tianjin.A total of 230 questionnaires and test questions were issued,and 226 valid questionnaires and test questions were collected.The data were statistically analyzed by using spss22.0 software.The results show that the current status of biological chart analysis in senior high school students is not optimistic.The results of the questionnaire survey showed that the students’ cognitive scores of chart were mainly concentrated in 3 points,which were in the middle level.The average score of the key school was 43.20,while the average score of the ordinary school was only 23.09 when the full score of the biology chart test paper was 70.The average score of the key school was 43.20,while the average score of the ordinary school was 23.09.For different types of biological charts,the highest score was 60.14%,while that of genetic pedigree was only 29.07%.The highest score rate was 75.60%for examining students’ability to extract information from charts,but only 35.59%for students’ ability to utilize chart information.The analysis ability of male students was significantly stronger than that of female students(P<0.05),and the ability of chart analysis of key school students was significantly stronger than that of ordinary school students(P<0.01),while the ability of table analysis was significantly higher in boys than in girls(P<0.05).The ability of chart analysis of students with better understanding of charts was significantly stronger than that of students with poor cognition of charts(P<0.01).Regression analysis shows that students’ academic level is an important factor affecting their ability of chart analysis.The preliminary conclusions of this study are as follows:firstly,the ability to analyze all kinds of biological charts of senior high school students in our city is generally weak,which exists in both key schools and ordinary schools,but the ability of students in key schools is stronger than that in ordinary schools.Secondly,the students’ ability to analyze different types of charts is different,in which the ability to analyze tables is the strongest,while the ability to analyze genetic genealogy is the weakest.The ability of chart information extraction is the strongest,but the utilization ability of chart information is weak.In addition,there are differences in the analysis ability of biological charts among students of different genders.For the analysis of curves,installation maps and ecological maps,the male is different in their ability to analyze the biological charts.in addition,that student’ s ability to process and utilize the chart information of the male student is obviously stronger than that of the female,and the student’ s sex,the student’ s academic level(the school type)and the graph cognition are all relevant to the student’ s graph analysis ability,The students’ academic level(school type)is one of the most important factors that affect the ability of the chart analysis.Combined with the current situation of high school students’ chart analysis ability and its influencing factors,the following teaching suggestions are put forward:firstly,the diversity of teaching methods in biology classroom is helpful for students to identify and extract the relevant information from the chart.In addition,it is helpful for students to process and transform the information of biology chart in time to summarize the knowledge in the re-class of ordinary school.
