To promote the development of China's education,we must firmly grasp the weak link of rural education.Teachers are the key to the development of rural education.In recent years,directional training of general Teachers of rural primary schools has injected fresh blood into the development of rural education in Hunan Province.As an important criterion for evaluating the teaching level of general practitioners in rural primary schools,teaching ability plays a crucial role in improving teaching quality and promoting the development of rural primary education.The teaching ability of general teachers in rural primary schools is that in a specific rural teaching field,teachers want to achieve the teaching objectives and fulfill the teaching tasks,wchich exhibit the individual psychological characteristics of general teachers in the course of multidisciplinary teaching activities in primary schools.It embodies teachers' knowledge,skills,emotions,attitudes,concepts,teaching styles and personalities,and is an organic unity of teaching cognition,teaching design,teaching implementation,teaching evaluation and teaching reflection,interdisciplinary teaching integration and interdisciplinary teaching transfer.Teaching ability is characterized by individuality,practicality,interdisciplinary,systematicness and localism.The teaching ability of general teachers in rural primary schools is conducive to promoting the overall development of rural pupils,promoting the professional development of general teachers in rural primary schools,optimizing the curriculum structure of rural primary schools,and improving the quality of rural primary education.By means of questionnaires and interviews,the general teachers of rural primary schools in L County of Hunan Province were investigated.The problems in general teachers teaching ability were found as follows:weak teaching cognitive ability,inadequate teaching design ability,teaching implementation ability to be strengthened,teaching evaluation ability to be improved and teaching reflection ability to be lacked;The integration ability of interdisciplinary teaching needs to be improved urgently and the transfer ability of interdisciplinary teaching needs to be strengthened urgently.The main reasons for these problems are:unreasonable curriculum of teacher ducation in Normal Universities;lack of pertinence to teachers' teaching training;neglect of the development of general teachers' teaching ability in rural primary schools;insufficient internal driving force for improving teachers' teaching ability and imperfect evaluation system of general teachers in rural primary schools.Therefore,this study proposes to improve the teaching ability of general teachers in rural primary schools by optimizing the curriculum of teacher education in Normal Universities;enhancing the pertinence of general teachers' teaching training;building a platform for the development of general teachers' teaching ability in rural primary schools;stimulating the internal driving force of improving teachers' teaching ability and establishing a perfect teaching evaluation system for general teachers in rural primary schools.
