The Compulsory Education Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2011 Edition)proposes ten important concepts, including "computational competence." The new curriculum standard points out that computing power "mainly refers to the ability to perform operations correctly according to the law and the operating law.Training computing power helps students understand the arithmetic of computing and seeks reasonable and concise computing solutions to solve problems." Recognizing the importance of computing power and raising it to the core, such changes are gratifying.Schools and teachers shall carry out effective mathematics education and teaching in accordance with the provisions of the new curriculum standards, and cultivate and enhance students' computing skills. However, the insights during the internship made me realize that the mathematics computing ability of primary school students in our country is not satisfactory. The new requirements put forward by the new curriculum standard and the reality of the computing ability of primary school students in China have contributed to this study. This study starts with the investigation and analysis of the current situation of the computing ability of primary school students in China, and explores the error-prone and weakness in the calculation of fourth-grade students, and analyzes whether there is a significant difference in the computing power of male and female students. At the same time, interviews with first-line mathematics teachers, combined with the teaching experience of teachers, put forward targeted teaching suggestions and strategies to effectively improve the computing power of primary school students.Studies have shown that(1)fourth-grade students perform best in oral calculations, perform better in column calculations,off-calculations,and simple calculations, and perform well in estimating and solving problems;(2)overall mathematics for boys and girls There is no significant difference in computing power. In the different forms of mathematical computing power, there is no significant difference in the computing power of boys and girls.Combining the test results and interviews with teachers, the teaching strategies for cultivating and improving students'mathematics computing ability are obtained,(1)guiding students to correctly understand mathematical operations;(2)cultivating students'good computing habits;(3)urging students to remember mathematical operations rule;(4)Strengthen student's estimation and oral calculation.
