I came to Dowon Elementary School, located in Yeosu,a city of South Korean Jeollanamdo,to teach Chinese at the Dowon Elementary School for a year as a volunteer CPIK Chinese teacher in 2017.The one-year Chinese teaching practice enabled me to know about the development process of Chinese teaching of Jeollanamdo's elementary schools.During that year as a volunteer Chinese teacher,I finished the questionnaire survey on 72 CPIK volunteer Chinese teachers who worked in Jeollanamdo's elementary schools as well as 568 elementary school students in 12 primary schools in Jeollanamdo.By analyzing the result of the questionnaire survey, combining with the works and views of domestic researchers and and South Korean scholar in current elementary education domain on the condition of Chinese Teaching in South Korean primary schools and collecting the document literature related to the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,I made a comprehensive statement on the current situation of the Chinese teaching in Jeollanamdo's elementary schools from the point of Chinese language learners of Jeollanamdo's elementary school, volunteer CPIK Chinese teachers of primary schools and Chinese teaching materials.By doing these preparations,I have finished this investigation report. At present, the problems in the implementation of Chinese teaching in Jeollanamdo elementary school in South Korea mainly involve four aspects of schools, teachers, students and Chinese textbooks. The details can be summarized as follows:First,South Korea's Jeollanamdo elementary school has no science in the process of Chinese teaching. The curriculum setting system;Secondly,South Korea's Jeollanamdo elementary school has a strong autonomy, which makes it difficult to assess the overall level of Chinese language teaching in the region;Third, the resources of local Chinese teachers in Korea are scarce;Fourth, the professionalism of Chinese teacher volunteers needs to be improved;Fifth, the motivation for Chinese learning in Jeollanamdo in South Korea is not clear.Sixth,Chinese textbooks have not been widely popularized.Seventh, there are many problems in the process of writing Chinese textbooks. In order to promote the Chinese teaching in South Korean Jeollanamdo's elementary schools to develop in a sound way,I try my best to provide a feasible improvement project to the long-run development of Chinese teaching in Jeollanamdo's elementary schools from such aspects as the curriculum of Chinese teaching, curriculum evaluation system, rational allocation of Chinese teachers resources, enrichment of teaching methods and compiling teaching textbooks in a scientific way as well as taking the actual Chinese teaching situation into consideration.
