Women in our country have long assumed the role of raising children and caring for the family in traditional society. The progress of society has enabled more and more women to receive a good education and become an important part of the workplace.Their role in the family has also been transformed into economic support. On the one hand, the improvement of women's education level will make them more consider the issue of human capital.Women will make choices among the number and quality of their children, affecting the overall family status of the family;on the other hand, there is a strong willingness to transfer intergenerational wealth with children in Chinese families, and the housing needs of families are often closely related to their children. Therefore, when women in the family are educated, there is no doubt that they will have an important impact on the relationship between family fertility and housing needs. The improvement of women's education level will make the family's reproductive status more complicated, and the relationship between fertility status and family housing needs will become more complicated. In order to explore the relationship between fertility status and family housing needs and the differences in the level of education among women in the family, based on the microdata of the 2014 China Family Panel Data, this paper made an empirical test using OLS model,Logit model,Mlogit model.Taking the child as the main explanatory variable, the family housing area, housing property rights, housing number as the explained variable, and according to the difference of the female education level in the family,we take the junior high school education level as the boundary to distinguish women education, setting an interaction to test the impact of education levels on the link between fertility status and family housing needs. At the same time,in order to further refine the research, consider the impact of different types of fertility status on family housing needs, according to gender, age, statistics of children of different genders, children of different ages, and instead of having children as the main explanatory variable into the regression. At the same time, considering the regional differences brought about by economic, social, cultural, policy implementation and other factors, this paper also controls the regional effects. The empirical results show that if a family has children,in most cases it will lead to an increase in the demand for family housing, depending on the gender of the child and the age of the child. The influence of childbearing status on housing demand has regional differences, and the difference in educational level among women in the family significantly affects the relationship between childbearing status and housing needs.Specifically,if a woman with a higher level of education has children, the overall effect of her children's housing needs is still significantly positive. However, the impact of the presence of children in this family on household housing needs will be significantly lower than in families with less educated mother.Compared with the gender of children, women with higher levels of education care more about the age of their children.
