As main implementers of vocational education in the future,vocational education normal students are aimed at teaching in vocational schools and in an important stage of consolidating theoretical basis,improving teaching level,strengthening professional emotion and strengthening professional will,in which period they are in preparation for becoming a qualified vocational education teacher.Their acceptance of teachers' profession not only affects the learning willingness and achievement of the vocational education normal students in school,but also relates to whether they choose to be a teacher in the future,whether they can meet the post requirements of vocational education teachers,and whether they can continuously obtain a sense of achievement and happiness in the process of career development,which is also the key to the quality of vocational education teachers.This paper makes an overall and differential analysis of the professional identity of the vocational education normal students from the five dimensions of professional cognition,emotion,will,expectation and behavior tendency,based on 274 samples from university Z and G,with the research methods of literature research,questionnaire survey and interview.The results include:(1)the professional identity of vocational education normal students is generally on the upper middle level;(2)female students' expectation of teachers' career is significantly higher than male students;(3)students from rural households show significantly higher professional identity than those from urban households overall and in all dimensions;(4)only-child students show significantly lower professional identity than non-only-child students overall and in all dimensions excluding professional will;(5)There are no significant differences in the overall professional identity and all dimensions between the vocational education normal students of different grades.In-depth interviews with some vocational normal students and the results of questionnaires show that besides demographic variables,professional identity level can be affected by social,school and personal factors as well.Based on the analysis of the study and the related factors,this paper gives some suggestions on how to enhance the professional identity of vocational education normal students,including three aspects: Firstly,at the national and social levels,it is suggested to change the traditional educational concept of vocational education and establish a correct one,perfect the mechanism of funds and enhance the attractiveness of secondary vocational education,and effectively improve the salary treatment and social prestige of vocational teachers.Secondly,at the school level,it is necessary to perfect the access and withdrawal mechanism of vocational education,rationally plan the curricula for the vocational education normal students,run the educational practice through the whole process of training vocational teachers,and strengthen the education of professional values for the students.Finally,at the individual level,students should make clear their selforientation,establish professional beliefs,improve professional quality and enhance professional self-confidence.
