Education ranks the first in the fundamental principles of administering a country. Teacher is the basic element in education, in the developing process of educating, we must strengthen the construction of teachers. In 2007, the state has adopted and implemented a policy of Free Teachers Education, its purpose is to train a group of outstanding young teachers and educators willing to sacrifice the national basic education of youth, and even lifelong commitment to basic education. Therefore, this special group of free education students, whether they can meet the requirements of the policy objective become a hot issue discussed by scholars while if normal students free education policy can be successfully implemented widely watched.Especially free education students as the pre-service teachers, the teachers' professional identity directly affect whether they can become a good teacher. Therefore, this paper, the free college students of ** Normal University as the research object, survey study of free normal students present situation of teachers' professional identity, and through data analysis and interviews insight into factors that affect free normal students of teachers' professional identity, in order to find the ways and means of increasing teachers' professional identity.The self-identity theory, pay attention to social identity and the theory of teacher professional development as the theoretical basis in the paper, that the characteristics of free normal students' teachers' professional identity are subjective, plasticity, stage and dynamic.Compared with teachers and normal students to analyze the specific characteristics of free students' teachers' professional identity.The research shows that:(1)the tuition free normal students' teacher professional identity in the medium high level.(2) The vocational expectation and overall teacher professional identity level of girls was significantly higher than that of boys.(3)The vocational cognitive level of free normal students as the only child was significantly higher than that of non only child.(4) The professional knowledge, professional skills and career aspirations and the overall teacher professional identity of the students in Grade 1 was significantly higher than that of the students in Grade 2 and Grade 3.(5) The liberal arts students in professional emotion, professional skills and career expectations three dimension scored significantly higher than science students.(6)The vocational cognitive level of the free normal students from the town was significantly higher than the free normal students from the rural areas(7)The professional expectation level of poor students free normal students was significantly higher than non-poor students free normal students.Studies have shown that factors of affect free normal students' teachers' professional identity is divided of the society, colleges and universities, families and individuals.By the social improve policies, improve the social status of teachers and improve the treatment of teachers; strengthen the policy advocacy efforts in Colleges and universities, strictly access links, to strengthen the ideological and political education and strengthen the tuition-free normal students of vocational and technical education; in the individual free normal students will have a clear self positioning, strengthen the teaching skills, professional faith and other ways to the increase of free normal student teacher's professional identity.
