Under the background of the comprehensive implementation of basic education reform in China,the curriculum resources of rural geography occupy an important position in the teaching of geography and are important resources for the development of geography curriculum.School-based curriculum plays an important role in making up for national curriculum and local curriculum and is an important part of the new curriculum reform.With the deepening of the new curriculum reform and the need of education development,it is imperative to make use of local geographic resources for school-based curriculum development.As the education highland in the west,xi 'an still has many deficiencies in the school-based curriculum development of rural geography.In order to study the development of rural geography and school-based curriculum in middle schools,this paper conducts an investigation and research which adopts literature research,questionnaire survey,in-depth interview and case study.Based on the current situation of school-based curriculum development in China,the characteristics of xi 'an's native geographic resources and the existing problems in the school-based curriculum development of xi 'an,this paper aims to explore a suitable way to develop the school-based curriculum of local geography.Specifically,the research and conclusions of this paper are as follows:First,based on the local geographic resources of xi 'an city and the geography subject of junior high school,the author conducted in-depth questionnaires and interviews to the teachers and students of the school.At the same time,the author referred to a large number of literatures and conducted a field survey to understand the general situation and characteristics of rural geographic resources in xi'an,and found that the development of school-based curriculum of rural geography now faces the following problems:lack of subjective understanding on the utilization of local geographic resources,backward school-based curriculum concept of local geographic,serious education atmosphere for examination,the imbalance between the supply and demand of school-based curriculum,the difficulty of implementing school-based curriculum are relatively large.Second,combined with xi 'an local geography school-based curriculum development present situation and the existed problems,the author puts forward some solutions that from the nature and objective of school-based curriculum of rural geography,course content which based on textbook compilation and teaching resources,curriculum development which based on teachers' own quality,evaluation of school-based curriculum development which based on curriculum arrangement and class arrangement,and so on.In addition,this paper demonstrates and analyzes the strategies proposed by combining the methods of actual cases,and further finds out the solutions to develop the school-based curriculum of rural geography.
