Objective:To investigate the current situation of school-based Swimming Curriculum Development in primary schools in Changzhou,and to provide reference for the development and implementation of school-based Swimming Curriculum in school physical education.Methods:Literature,interviews and questionnaires were used to investigate and study the current situation of school-based Swimming Curriculum Development in primary schools in Changzhou City,and the current situation was analyzed comprehensively.Suggestions on promoting school-based Swimming Curriculum Development in primary schools in Changzhou City were put forward.Result:1.School-based Swimming Curriculum in primary schools in Changzhou has taken shape and is welcomed by school leaders,teachers and students.1)According to the aims and purposes of their own schools,schools have adopted a variety of teaching modes,including compulsory courses and elective courses.The curriculum includes theoretical courses and practical courses,and the evaluation system is relatively perfect.2)50%of the teachers have a comprehensive understanding of the school swimming curriculum,and 15%of the teachers have a deep understanding of the curriculum,which indicates that the school-based Swimming Curriculum has a considerable understanding among the physical education teachers in Changzhou.At the same time,teachers' cognition of school-based swimming curriculum objectives is relatively scientific and in place.3)58%of the students said they liked swimming courses very much,25%of them preferred swimming courses.They were eager to learn swimming skills and related theoretical knowledge.School-based swimming courses were popular among students.4)As a swimming characteristic school,Changzhou Jiefanglu Primary School has advanced swimming pool equipment,professional coaching team,complete swimming equipment and unique teaching methods,and self-compiled swimming textbooks have been preliminarily completed.It has become a typical example of developing swimming school-based courses in Changzhou,providing reference for its development.2.there are still the following constraints in the development of school-based curriculum in Changzhou urban primary schools:1)government and school leaders are concerned about safety management,business problems and management and teacher level issues.2)The curriculum and basic equipment are still relatively backward,and the implementation process of the curriculum is relatively simple.Although there are group teaching,there are some schools that are not scientific in group teaching,which leads to the low efficiency of swimming teaching.The content setting neglects the training of practical swimming skills and lifesaving skills,and most schools do not rely on textbooks for teaching.3)Teachers of the course are still very weak.Although teachers are reasonable in age level,they generally lack swimming expertise.Only 13%hold swimming instructor certificate,20%hold lifeguard certificate,and the number of licensed teachers is seriously insufficient.4)the safety awareness of a few students is relatively weak,and some students' fear of water is also one of the influencing factors.Conclusion:School-based Swimming Curriculum in primary schools in Changzhou City has taken shape and is popular with students,but there are still some problems,such as leadership concept,venues and equipment,teachers,curriculum and method selection,which need to be strengthened.Among them,the development process of Jiefanglu Primary School is in line with the school's philosophy and cultural pursuit.The design of school-based curriculum,combined with the school's historical tradition,realistic conditions and students'characteristics,forms the school's characteristics.
