Research On Interpersonal Conflicts Among College Students

In recent years,interpersonal conflicts of college students have occurred from time to time,and even some serious conflicts have caused a murder case,which has had a bad influence and has aroused widespread concern from all walks of life.Studying the interpersonal conflicts among college students has practical significance.This paper investigates 400 undergraduate students in Tianjin through the questionnaire ?Questionnaire on the Status of Interpersonal Conflicts among College Students?.The survey shows that college students' dormitory and classrooms are the two places with the highest frequency of interpersonal conflicts.Dormitory students are the most conflicting objects with college students.The top four events that cause interpersonal conflicts among college students are dormitory life events,self-esteem impaired events,conflict of interest events,and learning events.The top five causes of interpersonal conflicts among college students are: differences in values,personality clashes,dealing with differences,communication barriers,and differences in living habits.Cognitive bias,values,personality,living habits,and interpersonal communication are the subjective causes of interpersonal conflicts among college students;Family structure,education mode,and parents' emphasis on inter-female interactions are the family factors that lead to interpersonal conflicts among college students;School factors include: the importance of interpersonal conflict,insufficient attention to the trivial matters of students' lives,ignore the equipment of the interpersonal conflict mediation room;the influence of social network environment on interpersonal conflicts among college students.Reasoning for resistance and active communication are the two most frequent conflict handling methods.In addition,the survey found that a small number of students have chosen to deal with verbal abuse and conflicts.Although the number is small,the impact is huge and cannot be ignored.These two conflict handling methods are not conducive to the effective resolution of conflicts,but will intensify contradictions.Building a harmonious campus interpersonal relationship and avoiding the occurrence of interpersonal conflicts among college students requires joint efforts in ideological understanding,moral cultivation,education,management and social environment.First of all,from the perspective of ideological understanding,college students must establish correct values and correct thinking,and correctly understand themselves and others.Secondly,in terms of moral cultivation,we must improve the quality of interpersonal communication and mutual understanding and improve living habits.Thirdly,there are three points in education: firstly,parents should adopt a democratic education model and provide guidance for their children's interpersonal interactions;secondly,teach their children to learn to empathize;thirdly,schools must conduct interpersonal conflict courses.In addition,in terms of management,schools should pay attention to conflicts caused by trivial matters in life,and set up a conflict mediation team in the dormitory equipped with interpersonal conflict mediation room.Finally,in the social environment,we must optimize the network environment and create a civilized and harmonious social atmosphere.
