Chinese excellent traditional culture is the embodiment of Chinese soft power development.However,after investigation and practice,it is found that the integration of traditional culture education is still not optimistic in the biology class of junior middle school.In today's context of cultural self-confidence,if we integrate traditional culture education into biology teaching in junior middle school,it not only enriches the teaching content and creates a positive learning atmosphere,but also greatly improves students' interest in biology learning,and is also a powerful inheritance of traditional culture.By means of material analysis,documentation,questionnaire survey,practice and interview,the application of traditional culture in junior middle school biology was investigated.After surveying,this paper put forward suggestions and strategies.At the same time,the traditional cultural elements related to junior middle school biology were summarized and combed,teaching design was applied to classroom,and the teachers and students were interviewed.Finally this paper obtained the results.Through a questionnaire survey among students of Luneng Bashu Middle School in Chongqing and teachers in Sichuan and Chongqing,this paper summarized the attitudes and views of teachers and students towards the application of traditional culture in biology teaching,their attention to traditional cultural elements in biology textbooks,students' understanding of biological knowledge in traditional cultural elements,and teachers' application of traditional culture in biology class.Then drawn the following conclusions: First,students have different understanding of biological knowledge in different traditional cultural elements;Secondly,students do not pay enough attention to different traditional cultural elements in textbooks and there are differences between them;Third,teachers and students are worried about the application of traditional culture;Fourth,teachers' awareness of applying traditional culture in biology class is not strong and there are differences among teachers of different teaching ages.After investigating the application of traditional culture in biology teaching in junior middle school,the methods and suggestions of applying traditional culture in biology teaching were put forward according to the results of the questionnaire: First,compiling various traditional cultural elements into biology textbooks;Secondly,to enhance teachers' participation,teachers can integrate traditional culture in the threestages of teaching: introduction,explanation of knowledge points and the end of teaching.In addition,in order to improve the traditional cultural accumulation of teachers and students,schools can carry out more teaching and research activities and lectures on Chinese traditional knowledge.Finally,in order to improve efficiency,we should reduce the burden on students and teachers.After making proposal,according to the first two suggestions,this paper made a comprehensive analysis of the contents of biology textbooks for junior middle school in PEP,summarized the traditional cultural elements appearing in the textbooks by units,and analyzed their meanings and biological uses in depth.Then,the cases of traditional culture which are not written into the textbook but can be applied in biology teaching in junior middle school were dug out,its meaning and combination point with biology knowledge were analyzed.In order to fully reflect the traditional culture in biology classroom,the section "Bird" was selected for reference.In order to get the result of practice,this study applied this teaching method to the actual classroom.The course is "The Role of Bacterial Fungi in Nature".After class,teachers and students were interviewed to find out the views of them on this teaching method.After interview,it is found that: 1.The participation of students was enhanced;2.The teaching enhanced students' interest in traditional culture and biological knowledge;3.This teaching method can help students understand knowledge points;4.This teaching method can provide reference for teachers.
