During the period of almost five months from July to December 2018,the author had a professional internship at ZWSJ Mandarin Institute in Surabaya,Indonesia.In the teaching practice,the author found that it is difficult for students to recognize Chinese characters,and the method of recognizing Chinese characters is relatively monotonous.Most of them are read over and over again,and the results have little effect.Even some students gradually lose the confidence to learn Chinese because of the difficulty of remembering Chinese characters.Through interviews with Chinese teachers in the school,the author learned that literacy teaching in Chinese teaching is more important,but relatively speaking,it has not found a better literacy method suitable for students in this school.Therefore,the author takes 9 Chinese primary school students from the ZWSJ Mandarin Institute as the practical teaching object.Based on the previous research on fun literacy,the author tries to find out some effective and practical literacy methods.This lists two more common and useful methods of literacy.The first one is: "I draw your guess" word source literacy method,mainly using the Chinese character "six books" theory,combined with the learning characteristics of primary school students,to stimulate students' literacy interest,but also subtly let students get a preliminary understanding of the origin of Chinese characters.The second type is: "Scrabble" part literacy method,which mainly combines the stroke parts of Chinese characters and the learning characteristics of primary school students,so that students can feel the "magic" of Chinese character stroke changes while creating contexts based on pictures,objects,etc.Let students know the word in the word.After the end of the teaching practice,the author has learned the comparison between the students' classroom observation records and the other teachers' feedback on the fun literacy class,and learned that the author's interesting literacy class has achieved certain results.Interesting literacy classroom teaching has improved the literacy interest of the second-class students,which helps students to better recognize Chinese characters.
