Image system is an important part of geography teaching materials and their knowledge expression,and it is a knowledge carrier that visually reproduces geographical phenomena,processes and principles.Therefore,geographic image information has the special function of constructing systematic and complete geographic knowledge.The ability to interpret geographic image information naturally becomes an indispensable ability for middle school students to master geographic knowledge.In modern geography education activities,the purposeful application of geographic images to teaching plays an important role in expanding and improving students' reading ability and spatial imagination.Due to the variety of images in the textbooks and the rich amount of information,the knowledge content is beyond the acceptance of the textbooks.This requires teachers to adopt innovative methods and methods to innovate teaching content and methods in the teaching process.Visually display the geographic image information and its knowledge connotation,and actively develop students' spatial thinking activities by cultivating students' cognitive ability and geographic information recognition ability and spatial thinking ability,and construct students' complete geographical knowledge learning and understanding.And mastery of ability.In geography teaching,geographic image is an indispensable teaching content and activity task.At this stage,in geography teaching in middle school,what theoretical methods and teaching strategies should teachers use to accomplish this task and achieve this goal? It is precisely because teachers and students lack the ability to interpret and use geographic image information.This practical flaw has seriously affected the quality and effect of geography teaching,and how to effectively improve the interpretation ability of middle school students' geographic image information through image system teaching.It is especially urgent.This study investigates students' interpretation of geographic image information,systematically understands students' reading patterns,mapping methods and skills,comprehensively grasps students' ability to interpret,accept,absorb and digest image information,and objectively diagnoses high school students' image interpretation ability.The problems and problems in the education,according to the teaching theory and the new curriculum standards,the attribution analysis and interpretation of the problem,from the teacher and student learning,classroom teaching and extracurricular practice and other dimensions,propose to improve and improve the image interpretation of high school students Effective methods and means of capacity provide a scientific basis for optimizing and improving the level of geography teaching and effectiveness.This paper combines the types of national II volume geographic image test questions from 2010 to 2018,and classifies the images in the human-educated high school geography compulsory textbook based on the previous studies.The images are divided into eight categories: geographic map,composite map,contour.Maps,geographic images,geostatistical charts,regional distribution maps,geographic comics,geographic landscape maps.After that,the statistical analysis of the composition of the textbook from the whole,classification and unit distribution is made.After analysis,the following conclusions are drawn: each type of geographic image is distributed in the compulsory textbook of the PEP;the geographical image distribution of each type is not Most of them,such as schematic diagrams,statistical charts and landscape maps,the proportions of contour maps,comics,geographic images and composite maps are relatively small;the use of geographic images in the teaching process enhances students' knowledge,The development of reading,solving,analyzing and drawing skills provides a good carrier for the realization of teaching objectives.Through the statistical analysis of questionnaires and test papers,the high school students' ability to interpret geographic image information is poor,and combined with classroom observation,teacher interviews,homework analysis,etc.,to diagnose the process of high school students' ability to interpret geographic image information.Among them,there are the following specific problems:(1)the basic knowledge of geography is not solid;(2)insufficient interest in learning geography images;(3)students' ability to read pictures,maps,maps and plots is weak;(4)Students do not effectively combine geographical knowledge with real life;(5)students often have unclear questions when they are doing the work;(6)students' geographical thinking ability is weak.In view of the above problems,this paper puts forward some strategies to improve and improve the students' ability to interpret geographic image information: focus on the stability of students' geography basic knowledge;improve students' interest in learning geographic images;pay attention to students' ability to read pictures,map,map and plot Training;develop good habits of examination;develop students' ability to transform graphics and text;improve teachers' own image professional skills.
