Development And Utilization Of School-based Curriculum Resources "Magical Animals" Of Primary Science Curriculum

In recent years,more and more attention has been paid to curriculum development combined with local resources,and many valuable research results have been obtained.This paper takes the Outline of Basic Education Curriculum Reform(Trial Implementation)promulgated by the Ministry of Education in 2001 as the background,taking Tongren City as an example,based on the local biological resources of Tongren City,a set of school-based curriculum of primary science curriculum was developed to explore primary school science education.The author implemented the curriculum by questionnaires,curriculum design,curriculum evaluation,and achieved satisfactory results,the curriculum have a certain extension value.Tongren has unique geographical and ecological environment advantage,the landscape is surrounded by the mountains and rivers,comfortable climate,a large number of animals and plants thrive here.However,few students understand the peculiar species in Tongren,they don't familiar with the common species around them.So how to bring such a good resource into the science class,let the children go out of the campus and walk into the nature,understand the biological resources of their hometown,so as to sublimate the feelings of their hometown,then forming the consciousness of loving and protecting the nature,become a problem that will be discussed in this subject.Based on the comparing of the similarities and differences of the biological parts of Science textbooks between China and the United States,taking advantages of textbook designing of both Countries,according to the pupils' age characteristics,cognitive level and learning characteristics,taking the students in class 1 of grade 5in Tongren Experimental Primary School as implementation objects,and Wenbi peak,Jialiang mountain and animal specimens museum of Tongren University as implementation places,developed a coursepackage including the content of common and endemic species in Tongren.The course package including five parts: Mysterious Spiders,Elves in the Sky-Birds,Knowing Butterflies,Approaching Guizhou Golden Monkey and Knowing Biodiversity.This course pack pays more attention to the expansion of knowledge and the autonomy of students.It enables students to express the inquiry process and conclusions in different forms,it also pays more attention to the diversified evaluation methods to the students.The overall goal of the course is to develop and promote the students' knowledge and skills,processes and methods,emotional attitudes and values.This research can provide new ideas for the development of extracurricular biological curriculum resources in Tongren City,provide rich and diverse curriculum resources for students,expand the students' knowledge,improve the students' biological literacy,stimulate the students' interest in learning science,form the consciousness of protecting biology and ecological environment,and sublimate the students' love for home and nature.The results will provide new ideas for the development of curriculum resources and diverse curriculum resources for front-line teachers.This can improve the students' biological literacy,stimulate students' interest in learning science,expand the knowledge of the students,form the consciousness of protecting biology and ecological environment,sublimate of the students' love of their hometown and nature.This curriculum also promotes the professional development of teachers,and provides some experiences for the curriculum development physics,chemistry,geography and other parts of primary school science.Based on the this curriculum,there will be many subsequent improvements and enrich the students' classroom constantly.The author also analyses the reasons that restrict the development of curriculum based on local biology resources,and puts forward some suggestions.
