The ability of sports aesthetics is composed of sports aesthetic sensibility,sports aesthetic appreciation and sports aesthetic creativity.It is the ability of people to comprehend and evaluate the beauty in sports activities,as well the psychological characteristics,which are necessary for sports aesthetic activities.Cultivating students' sports aesthetic ability is one of the important tasks of aesthetic education in China,and it is an inevitable requirement of the new "Sports and Health Curriculum Standards".Physical education in China runs through all stages of students' learning,but the content that focuses on the cultivation of sports aesthetic ability has not penetrated into the teaching practice of teachers,especially in the primary school physical education.Therefore,in order to provide ideas for the cultivation of primary school students' aesthetic ability,this thesis takes the status quo of the teaching of aesthetic ability of primary school students as the research topic,cultivation of teachers' aesthetic ability in physical education are explored and analyzed.The research based on the summary of current theoretical literatures,and it takes cases of primary schools in Yuelu district of Changsha.Meanwhile it uses literature analysis,questionnaire survey and interview methods.Through the questionnaires and interviews,the students and teachers of the three primary schools in Yuelu District of Changsha conducted inquiries and exchanges on topics related to sports aestheticability.According to the survey results,there are many problems in the cultivation of pupils' aesthetic ability in physical education.For example,the teachers neglect students' aesthetic Perception and short of conducting to pupils' judgement in aesthetic activities,moreover,their teaching activities lack the enthusiasm to motivate students to create beauty.Thus,through the analysis of the above teaching problems,it is found that many teachers are over-emphasizing the “body training” and the sports skill training.They ignored the awareness of the cultivation of students' aesthetic ability.Besides,as the subject of cultivation of pupils' aesthetic ability,teachers lack sports aesthetic literacy,they ignore the cultivation of themselves awareness of beauty.In addition,teachers' teaching ability need to be improved.Therefore,this paper puts forward corresponding strategies for the cultivation of primary school students' aesthetic ability.For example,it emphasizes that primary school teachers should change from the traditional concept of "body training" to the psychological education training with emphasis on aesthetic ability and strengthen the aesthetic quality of teachers.Besides,other method such as improving the teaching ability of teachers,optimizing the aesthetic environment of physical education,giving play to the unique role of physical education in aesthetic education are put forward to achieve the goal of cultivating primary school students' aesthetic ability.
