With the development of society and the further advancement of basic education reform,CPC central committee and state council committee issued the opinions of “The state on comprehensively deepening the reform of the construction of teachers in the new era”,The social status and professional prestige of teachers affect teachers' attitude,which affects teaching quality.Based on the existing relevant theories,this study studies the professional reputation of PE teachers in Guangzhou middle schools,and sorts out and analyzes the professional reputation of PE teachers in middle schools by methods of literature review,questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics.The results show that:1? the overall evaluation of the professional reputation of physical education teachers in Guangzhou middle schools by different social groups is on the low side.Although the state emphasizes that students should develop morally,intellectually,physically,aesthetically and labor,and the importance of physical education is increasingly prominent,the social status of physical education teachers is still relatively low.2? Through the analysis of 15 factors affecting the professional reputation of physical education teachers,it is found that the social evaluation is higher than that of teachers and the peer evaluation is the lowest.In addition,although peer evaluation recognizes PE teacher as a professional,it contradicts itself and has some deviations due to the influence of traditional thoughts.3?Through factor analysis,the factors affecting the occupational prestige of PE teachers in Guangzhou middle schools are divided into four dimensions,namely,professional value identification,occupational welfare treatment,occupational intrinsic quality and occupational social resources.4? The social evaluation of different ages is basically the same to the occupational prestige of Guangzhou middle school PE teachers.The evaluation of the occupational prestige of PE teachers in Guangzhou middle schools by different social groups is influenced by gender,education background,occupation and salary level.According to the research results and the actual situation of Guangzhou physical education teachers,the following Suggestions are put forward:1? First of all,the state should guarantee the welfare treatment of physical education teachers,enhance their labor value and eliminate their worries,so as to enhance their work motivation.Secondly,the administrative departments of education and schools should fully implement a series of guidelines and policies proposed in “The state on comprehensively deepening the reform of the construction of teachers in the new era”.Strengthen the propaganda of occupational value,On the basis of ensuring the social status of teachers,we should attach importance to the social status of physical education teachers.2? Physical education teachers should constantly strengthen their professional awareness and have a correct social value orientation.3?Physical education teachers should pay attention to tnhe study of humanistic knowledge and improve their own cultivation.4?Physical education teachers should recognize their profession and strengthen physical fitness and skill training.
