During the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,Chinese character plays important role.In terms of teaching Chinese as a second language,Chinese character includes two main parts,oral teaching and teaching for written texts.Furthermore,the second part has an intimate connection with writing regulation,the written symbol of Chinese language is Chinese character,it does not follow the rules of Phonetic.Thus,in Chinese language teaching,character teaching should be one of the most necessary teaching pedagogical tasks.Nowadays,with the continuous speed development of Chinese economy,studying Chinese has become all the rage in the world,teaching Chinese as a foreigner language also achieves remarkable success with the development of Chinese language promoting,however,in the matter of character teaching,the result still ineffective and weak.The main problems are the students still lack appreciation of the importance of character teaching;incomplete understanding of characteristic of character;language teaching does not base on the character itself and so on.These problems above could be the difficulties of Chinese language learners.Firstly,in terms of the Chinese charter teaching situation and the analyzing of current research of this field,the researcher selected the beginning level of high school students who study Chinese language as research participants.Secondly,the research method was questionnaire survey to analyze Thai learners biased error.Thirdly,the researcher found out the key important issue and analyze the reasons and phenomenon of the problem.Lastly,based on the cognitive and study characteristics of Thai learners,combined with the theoretical basis of language acquisition,language comparison and error analysis,the researcher pointed out the teaching method of character learning which focus on Thai learners,it aimed to lift the level of instruction of character teaching in teaching Chinese as a foreign language field.Character teaching as one of core content of Chinese language learning,learners have to pay highly attention during the study process.It can help to improve the subject education system,students can get benefits from their language level,also,it helps to spread of Chinese culture.Therefore,character teaching is necessary and important in language teaching in Thailand.This research based on the character teaching and focused on the current language teaching in Thailand.Analyzing the present character teaching problems and difficulties and pointed out the effective strategies.This research was conducted to develop the Chinese teaching through the change of current character teaching in Thailand.
