The teaching of singing plays a vital role in the music education and comprehensive quality education of high school students.How to improve the teaching effect becomes a key problem.Music educators have introduced some successful teaching methods into teaching,and applied their excellent teaching experience into teaching to solve the problems and deficiencies in current education.“Articulating according to the character” is a kind of teaching method based on the rhythm structure and pronunciation regulations of Chinese characters,and the national tradition of China while drawing the experience of Western scientific sounding and training methods.Applying it to the singing teaching in high schools can help students use the skills of vocalization and articulation and sing songs with emotion and expression.This paper firstly sorts out the basic theories needed in the research of the topic by the method of literature review,and analyzes the feasibility of applying the “Articulating according to the character” in the singing teaching of high schools.Secondly,adopting the observation method and the case study method,the author takes the “Articulating according to the character” as the research subject and the ordinary high school students as the teaching object.Connecting to the author's teaching experience,he designed the application case of “Articulating according to the character” in singing teaching of high schools.Through recording the teaching process in teaching practices and evaluating the application effect of “Articulating according to the character” in singing teaching in high schools,the feasibility and effectiveness of “Articulating according to the character” in singing teaching of high schools are affirmed.finally,the author summarized the teaching advantages and existing problems by teaching reflection,and proposes measures to apply the “Articulating according to the character” in singing teaching of high schools.The study finds that the application of “Articulating according to the character” in the high school singing class has the teaching advantages of improving students' singing level,improving students' enthusiasm for learning,and making students' singing singularly "bettercutting and mellow".However,some shortcomings still exist,such as incapability to highlight its musical personality in the solo singling teaching of popular songs or the incapability to respond to some students' voice problems because of the author's theoretical knowledge and teaching experience.Combining to the advantages and disadvantages of teaching,the author proposes relevant teaching strategies: First,enrich the theoretical knowledge of teachers and improve their professional skills and teaching skills;Second,follow the singing teaching principle of “Character training as the core”;Third,cultivate students' singing ability with the idea of “Improve all by focusing on parts”;Fourth,appropriately lean and apply the “Articulating according to the character” in singing teaching of high schools.The learning of singing is a long-term process.It is difficult to achieve results in a short period of time.Without negative emotions such as burnout,disappointment or confusion,teachers should treat students with a developmental perspective and treat singing teaching with a positive attitude,With constantly self-reflection and progress in the long-term teaching,the quality and efficiency of singing teaching will be improved and students' music learning ability will be enhanced.It is expected to help to promote the development of high school singing teaching in China.
