The Correlation Between Family Rearing Patterns And University Students' Love Values: The Mediating Effect Of Peer Relationship

In this study,we adopted university students' love values questionnaire,parenting style scale and peer relationship scale,the questionnaire survey was conducted on full-time university students in several universities in Changsha with the method of overall random sampling.Finally,645 valid questionnaires were recovered.The purpose of this paper is to understand the present situation of university students' values of love,to explore the relationship between university students' family rearing style,peer relationship and love values,and to investigate the internal mechanism of peer relationship as an intermediary variable in influencing university students' values of love.It expands the relevant theoretical research on the concept of love and its influencing factors,and provides a reference for helping university students to establish a correct values of love.The results of this study are as follows:(1)Love behaviors are common among university students.More than half of them reported that they had been in love in the survey;(2)There are differences in university students' values of love in gender,grade,major and love experience;(3)There is a significant correlation between university students' family rearing style and their values of love.Each dimension of family rearing style has a significant predictive effect on the standards of mate selection,love motivation,attachment characteristics and sexual orientation of their values of love;(4)University students' values of love is significantly related to the peer relationship,and each dimension of the peer relationship has asignificant predictive effect on the mate selection criteria,love motivation,attachment characteristics and sexual orientation of the values of love;(5)Peer relationship plays a part of mediating role between family rearing style and love values of university students;...
