Terms are the key words that condense the systematic knowledge of a subject.Biological terms is the basic unit of thinking of biology subject formed by abstracting and generalizing the essential characteristics or common attributes of biological research objects.Students can understand biological knowledge more deeply by learning biological terms.The ability to explain biological problems through understanding and use of biological terms is known as the expression ability of biological terms.<Biology Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 Edition)> and biology college entrance examination papers all put forward specific requirements for senior high school students' ability to express biological terms,and the improvement of this ability can promote students' biological literacy.The present thesis mainly studies the current situation of senior high school students' ability to express biological terms.The results are as follows:Firstly,by means of text analysis,the biological terms involved in the biology textbook of senior high school published by People's Education Press were collected,and the internal relationship between terms is analyzed.Secondly,through the analyses on the answers of test papers,the status quo of high school students' biological term expression ability is clear.the following problems were found:(1)the expression form of terms are not standardized,such as more writing,less writing,wrong writing,disordered character order,etc.;(2)the term can not be understood accurately,so knowledge errors often occur;(3)don't understand the meaning of the questions,and the answers does not meet the requirements;(4)the term expression lacks scientificity,normativeness,logic,comprehensiveness and flexibility,etc.Thirdly,by classroom observation,it was found that there are many problems of the cultivation of students 'ability to express biological terms in teaching,such as teachers' insufficient attention to biological terms,poor standardization and logicality of teachers' language,and inaccurate use of biological terms by students.Fourthly,by means of questionnaire survey,the main influence factors of the status quo of senior high school students' biological term expression ability were found as follows:(1)lack of term awareness;(2)unitary access to biological terms,strongly depending on classroom teaching,and the barely satisfactory biological term environment created by teachers;(3)poor understanding of biological terms;(4)lack of initiative attention to the cultivation of biological term expression ability,and teachers' relatively limited training strategies.Based on the present situation and the influence factors of senior high school students' ability of expressing biological terms,combined with relevant educational theories and practical experience of frontline biology teachers,this paper puts forward corresponding training strategies from three perspectives of teachers,students and textbooks :(1)Teachers:increase awareness of the importance to the cultivation of students' biological term expression ability,pay attention to the scientificity and accuracy of the teaching language,and actively improve teaching methods,and consolidate students' ability of expressing biological terms by selecting exercises;(2)Students: be guided to be interested in biological terms,and to improve the ability of expressing biological terms comprehensively through listening,speaking,reading and writing.(3)Textbooks: the content of the textbook should be appropriately revised and examined,and the term system of biology in textbooks should be standardized and perfected.
