Academic researchers should abide by academic ethics in the process of research,which is the basic requirement of academic research,while academic misconduct is a deviation from the academic code of conduct.Governing academic misconduct is of great significance to the construction of a clean and healthy academic ecological environment in China.Studying the influencing factors of academic misconduct can provide pertinent theoretical basis for the governance of academic misconduct.This study is based on the theory of planned behavior to study the influencing factors of academic misconduct.The theory of planned behavior holds that attitude,subjective norms and perceived behavioral control can affect behavioral intentions,and affect actual actions through the mediating role of behavioral intentions,among which perceived behavioral control can also directly affect behavior.This research adopts the theoretical model of planned behavior theory and combines with the existing research on academic misconduct.It expresses attitudes,subjective norms and perceived behavior control as academic values,academic norms,organizational restraint,personal influence,academic self-efficacy and control.It constructs a theoretical model of influencing factors of academic misconduct and studies the influencing factors of academic misconduct.In this study,313 valid questionnaires were collected and analyzed by using correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis.It is found that academic self-efficacy and control,organizational restraint,personal influence and academic norms can influence academic misconduct through the mediating role of academic misconduct intention.Academic self-efficacy and control,organizational restraint,personal influence and academic norms can also directly affect academic misconduct.Academic values in the research model have not passed the empirical test.Academic values need to be formed through a long period of academic research accumulation.However,the group of Postgraduates surveyed in this study has not formed a mature academic value system due to the short time of contacting academic research.Based on the results of empirical analysis,this paper puts forward some countermeasures to deal with academic misconduct: to establish honest academic values and rationally view the pressure of scientific research;to improve the system of academic misconduct management,emphasizing the execution and feasibility of the system;to strictly abide by academic norms and form a correct attitude towards academic research;to optimize the academic environment and form a rigorous and realistic academic atmosphere;to improve the ability of academic research and strengthen the self-control of academic misconduct;pay attention to the prevention of academic misconduct beforehand.
