| With the rapid development of society and the accelerated pace of life,college students,as main force for social progress in the future,have faced widespread concern from people of all walks of life in the face of multiple pressures such as life,school and employment.Mental health and Good physical fitness is a prerequisite for learning and work.In recent years,the physical quality of college students in China is not optimistic.College physical education is an important part of the school education system.The main task is to promote the development of college students’ physical quality and mental health and cultivate students’ healthy behavior.In the academic world,there is a close relationship between sports and mental health and physical fitness.The emergence of positive psychology is helping people to explore and cultivate good psychological quality and enhance the positive experience of students.The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China also emphasized that it is necessary to strengthen the construction of a social psychological service system and foster a good social mentality,such as self-esteem,self-confidence,positiveness,and rational peace.Therefore,the concept of positive psychology is integrated into the teaching of swimming elective courses to explore its impact on the development of students’ positive psychological quality and physical quality.In this study,female college students in the swimming elective course of East China Normal University were selected as the subjects.The "Chinese College Students’ Positive Psychological Quality Table" and the physical quality test project indicators were used as measurement tools to integrate positive psychology concepts into college swimming teaching and cultivate positive psychology.The quality swimming teaching experiment is compared with the traditional swimming teaching,and the training effect of swimming teaching experiment on students’ positive psychological quality and physical quality is discussed.The study draws the following conclusions:(1)The six dimensions of the positive psychological quality of the participants in the swimming elective course are at the upper-middle level.(2)The development of 20 positive psychological quality factors of all the participants in the swimming elective course was at a medium and good level.(3)The physical fitness of the participants in the swimming elective course is at a passing level.(4)Through the 16-week swimming teaching experiment,it can promote the development of six dimensions of female students’ positive psychological quality.(5)The swimming elective course has positive effects on the improvement of 20 positive psychological quality factors of female college students,mainly manifested in love and friendliness,team spirit,leadership ability,spiritual touch and integrity.(6)The swimming elective course has no significant influence on the performance of female college students’ physical quality test in a short period of time. |
