A Study On The Exercise System Of Chinese Textbooks Based On The Core Chinese Competencies

The exercise system is one of the four major systems of Chinese textbooks.The quality of its compilation and the correctness of its use methods directly affect the effectiveness of Chinese teaching,which in turn affects the realization of the goals of the Chinese curriculum.For a long time,there have been many problems in the compilation of the Chinese textbook exercise system,and the advent of the competency era has put forward new requirements and challenges for the Chinese textbook operation system.The national edition's Chinese textbooks are born in the context of the new era.By comparing with the old textbook exercise system,it is possible to discover the changes in the concepts and ideas behind the compilation.It is of great significance for mastering the reform trend of textbooks,optimizing the design of exercises,and rationally using textbooks.From the point of view of the exercise form,the national edition's Chinese textbooks have made great progress compared with the PEP edition's,which is mainly reflected in the fact that the layout is more hierarchical,the expression is more appropriate,and the amount of exercises is more differentiated.However,there are still some areas in the exercise type that need further improvement.Although all types of exercises are involved,the distribution of large types of exercises is not balanced,and the distribution of small types of exercises under large types is not balanced.Therefore,the exercise system of national edition's Chinese textbooks urgently needs to optimize the structure of exercise type to develop in a more rational and balanced direction.Judging from the content of exercises,the two editions of junior high school Chinese textbooks have different emphasis on the Core Chinese Competencies.In terms of language competency,the language accumulation and expression of the PEP edition's are both equal.The national edition's pay more attention to language accumulation and weaken language expression.In terms of thinking competency,both editions of the textbooks attach great importance to the exercises of abstract thinking,but the training methods of the national edition's are more diverse,and the way of training imaginal thinking and dialectical thinking is not the same.In terms of aesthetic competency,both editions of the textbooks attach importance to the cultivation of students' appreciation and evaluation ability,but the exercise form of aesthetic experience and aesthetic performance is relatively simple.In terms of cultural competency,both editions of the textbooks focus on the recognition and accumulation of language culture.The national edition's enhances the emphasis on cultural understanding and recognition,but the inheritance and promotion of culture still needs to be further implemented in the exercise system.In the competency era,the exercise system of Chinses textbooks can be improved from the following aspects: appropriatly increasing the applied exercises to balance language accumulation and expression;cleverly designing open exercises to develop questioning and reflective thinking;enriching experience and performance form to promote aesthetic perception and creation;strengthening physical understanding and participation to guide cultural understanding and inheritance.As for the use of the national edition's Chinese textbooks,teachers need to delve into the exercise system to achieve the guiding function,and can adjust exercises in a proper manner according to the actual situation;students need to pay attention to the role of the exercise system to improve the use of consciousness,and learn to use the exercise system reasonably for self-directed learning.
